Welcome Taurean Prince

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah he definitely has a spot on this team going forward, especially if he keeps playing this way and there’s no reason to think he won’t. He really does fit very well with the rest of our core. Did Koby really add 2 to our core without giving up anything too valuable?

Only an expiring Dante Exum and probably the 28th pick in the draft..and maybe there was 1 shitty second we sent out too?

Prince feels more comfortable with offensive sets and movement rather than just standing around. Kind of like when Crowder came to us when Prince is playing with Kyrie - I feel Prince plays better with team oriented.

Definitely great to have size on the wing.

How was Prince a guy that the Nets wanted to outright dump?

Yeah.

So I'm going to question Brooklyn on how they were using this guy just a bit. Clearly he is better in a system that isn't reliant on individual scorers, that is obvious, but how did they not use his passing to their advantage more?

Seriously, how did they manage to put him in a position to rack up 7 total assists in his 12 games with them with Kyrie, Durant, Harris, LeVert, and Allen while we have seen him put up at least 4 assists in 4 of the 5 games played with us...and with a lower usage rate with us than Brooklyn too. He has almost 3 times the assists with us in 5 games than he had in 12 with Brooklyn.

How do you go from 0.6 APG to now 3.8 APG in the blink of an eye. And it's not fluky either, guy has terrific court vision and passing ability for his position.

Yeah.

Like Kyrie said. Coaching is not important for the Nets. Kyrie culture.

Yeah.

I watched the game delayed and I came here to say something similar. Lots of people liked his game coming up. I don't really understand the usage thing either or what the nets were doing with him. I can only imagine he was doing too much?

Is it pressure?

He seems more comfortable. Maybe he is just responding to coaches?

Bickerstaff more than anything looks like he has gotten the guys to play together.

His first couple of games I didn't particularly like him. He did well, but I was afraid he would be trying to do too much and his handle concerned me. The more I see, the more I like, however.

I think the honeymoon is over here.

Still ok as a backup wing but not looking like much else at the moment.

The trade was about Allen so if Prince does more than expected of him some nights, it's a bonus.

You were expecting him to be Kevin Durant? He's a SF who can *occasionally* play the 4 in small ball lineups. Hes a glue guy that does the little things to help you win, but isn't gonna carry a team.
