A big reason the Patriots adjust the way they do is their QB. With a young QB, having a rigid offense sounds like a pretty solid idea, but that's me. If Haley can impart his knowledge into the young guy, great. I worry more about how Haley works with Hue, they need to get along.
Soda- you are giving Jimmy too much credit. This was never the plan, he simply panicked into this. This was his solution to not firing Hue- he canned the FO instead.
I also agree that letting some of the vets go was idiotic and an early sign of Sashi's inexperience. But just like how Chris Grant had to watch another GM blow through the cap space and assets he painstakingly assembled, I wonder if Dorsey will be as frugal with what he has been handed and not just blow through it trying to win right away, ie, bundling picks together for foolish trade ups and what not. That's not to say Sashi should have stayed to use them, but when got for pay the price for something you don't value ia much... But that's my view on it.
