Tick tock ya don’t stop.
This might be my favorite thing you ever said.
Yes I need a life, lol

An 11 pick in a deep draft is a huge amount to give up to get out of paying Fournier $18 million a year. The Fournier contract is bad but it’s not a disaster contract. You lose a lot of money by giving up an 11 pick too because especially in this draft that pick could you get a piece at rookie contract costs. That's pretty dismissive and seems like you might not be acknowledging Fournier's contract in this conversation.
I'm a die hard Arizona homer, I'll trade everyone outside of DG and Mobley for Mathurin. If Jaden Ivey falls to #7, you got to imagine that the Cavs will see what kind of offer they can put together. Would they do the same for Mathurin ?

Here's all the scuttlebutt you need to know from the week in Chicago, starting with ways to make the event more valuable for everyone.theathletic.com
The pick that seems even more certain to be on the move is Portland’s at No. 7, with sources saying the Blazers will push to immediately put a competitive team around Damian Lillard rather than start over. Detroit’s Jerami Grant has been the hot name here, but the Blazers could look at other options.
You'd trade Allen for Mathurin?!?I'm a die hard Arizona homer, I'll trade everyone outside of DG and Mobley for Mathurin.
I suppose I wouldn’t, haha. Anyone else though! You'd trade Allen for Mathurin?!?
Watching Dieng videos and it is hard to ignore the insane potential he has.... and how naturally the pairing with Mobley would work....
I haven't done any research on Sochen. I haven't seen him mocked outside of the top 10 yet, but with Daniels climbing he might be a guy who could potentially drop.
There's no way I'm taking Fourniers contract for 11.
We are a winning team now. You take that deal and the pick you make doesn't pan out you've royally fucked yourself at being able to properly round out the roster.
And while I know we all imagine ourselves as draft savant, picks regularly miss.
No way I'm doing that trade -- if it was Fournier + 11 for Levert - then I'm doing it in a second. Fournier's contract stinks, but in current NBA terms, $17M just isn't that horrendously big anymore.
What i'm not doing is selling Okoro for peanuts this offseason. I know the tape still isn't great -- but statistically he improved drastically over the last year. He's about 4-5% in 3PT shooting away from having a very obvious and valuable long term role. He's still younger than Keegan Murray or Ochai Agbaji, and like 100 days older than everybody's current crush in Tari Eason...
Who knows if he'll make it, but I'd like it to be the Cavs that find out...
I don't see Fournier's contract as bad enough for the Knicks to part with No. 11 tbh. If they trade No. 11 outright, it will be to dump Randle so they can make a run at Kyrie. There's no way I'm taking Fourniers contract for 11.

+1. #11 plus Fournier for Okoro/Levert is not a trade the Knicks would ever make because it is very one sided in our favor, so it’s pretty hilarious that people are getting huffy about how it wouldn’t be good enough for usI don't see Fournier's contract as bad enough for the Knicks to part with No. 11 tbh.
