WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Moxley is the biggest fucking goober in wrestling. Maybe in wrestling history.

You're talking about a guy who can actually wrestling at a reasonably high level and actually promo at a reasonably high level and at one time was the world champion and top babyface of the biggest wrestling company in the history of the business.

And this idiot would rather do light tube spots and fork spots and barbwire spots and cut his forehead open every goddamn week.

The guy is nothing more than an absolute fucking mark.

I'm with you. I hate his matches. Makes me dislike Hangman too because he has to change his style to match Mox. Feels so unnecessary.

It's completely different for somebody like Nick Gage. He does the hardcore death match stuff because that's literally all he can actually do. He can't actually wrestle or promo at a high level. If he could, he'd be making his living doing that instead of slicing guys with pizza cutters.

That's not Moxley.

Moxley was professionally trained. He did his time working his way through developmental and can actually wrestle at a high level when he wants to. The dude was literally a top guy in WWE for the majority of his 8-year run and he does this garbage shit because he wants to do it. Not because he needs to do it because it's his only way to survive in the business.

It's just so mark-ish.

Tough for me to decide between Elite/HOB and Page/Mox for MOTN

Incredible show so far.

That show was nothing but hits.

Crowd was down for Wardlow/Joe, but it was pretty much impossible for them to maintain where they were after Hangman/Mox tore the house down.

Carried into the tag match as well to an extent, but FTR brought them back to life.

Like you guys have said, top to bottom it was a great card. Really paced out well and the matches were phenomenal. Easily MJFs best match in the company so far and it was great seeing Bryan continue to put on amazing matches.

HoB winning their match was awesome, the Trios belt work perfect with them and hopefully they have a long reign with them.

Alright, here are my thoughts after a night of sleep.

MJF vs Danielson Iron Man Match: best iron man match I’ve seen and that is not hyperbole. I was worried the crowd would wear out and not only were they still hot the whole match, it could have went another 30 mins easily. Danielson further cemented his GOAT status in a loss where he put MJF over with a tap out. MJF was incredible throughout. Kept pace with Danielson, his facial expressions showed so much, he pulled out moves I’ve never seen him do, and continues to take a standard heel act and totally elevates it (I popped hard at the “fuck them kids” moment). This guy is truly a generational talent. Wrestling at its best. All-timer level match.

Mox/Hangman - I can’t tell you how much I loved this match and it warms my dark heart to see hardcore done right in a major American promotion once again. At its worst, hardcore is two out of shape dudes stabbing each other for a blood thirsty crowd. This wasn’t that. Amazing hardcore spots, great wrestling, and top notch story telling in the ring. For all the IWC hand wringing over Mox bleeding every match, I feel like it all added to the story of this match and elevated it further. Mox every week has shown he’s a violent sadist…and not only did Hangman have to tap into his own sadism, he had to basically make Mox choose life or death to elicit a tap. Beautiful. Bruiser Brody, Mick Foley, and Terry Funk would be proud.

HOB vs Elite - any other night this would be MOTN. Great match, amazing pace, and right result. I’m so ready for the HOB reign of terror as an amazing faction and trios team. Ready to see Kenny in singles again. Ready for the inevitable FTR/Bucks feud.

Don’t have time to go through every match, but everything was good! Women’s 3 way was really good, right result, and the best Saraya and Ruby have looked in the ring. Starks going over Jericho was the right result and done well. Tag match was super fun and set up FTR’s surprise return very well. I did miss most of Joe vs Wardlow as I needed a short brain break after Mox/Hangman lol.

5 star ppv, best one I’ve personally seen from AEW. TK didn’t miss once.

I thought the women's 3 say was HARD CARRIED by Jamie, just like the whole division right now. She's so much better than everyone else.

I wasn't super high on the mox-hangman match, but for what it was, it was pretty good. Not my cup of tea anymore.

Joe-Wardlow was meh. It wasn't good, and it wasn't bad. Just a bog standard ppv match.

But that headliner...what a fucking iron man match. Danielson put over MJF HUGE too, just further cementing him as the guy moving forward.

Even though it was predictable, the ending of Raw was really well done IMO. Gotta find a way to get to the tag match and Jey doing the fake tease really got the crowd fooled. Ultimately it makes no sense for him to choose Sami over his twin/family, even if Roman treats him like shit.

Can't wait to watch the internet wrasslin community lose their shit when Jeff Jarrett beats OC next week for the INTERNATIONAL Title.

Happy for Hobbs to finally get the gold on him. Not sure I like the look of QT beating up Wardlow though to get it done.

Trios 3 way next week will be a wild one.
