WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd be pretty pumped if Punk was to return now. 60k crazy Brits singing Cult of Personality word for word would be worth the price of admission alone.

Also would like to see Punk work a stable angle as well. Some of his better work which is so forgot about was Nexus, Strait Edge Society.

That AEW fire keeps growing bigger and bigger. Hardy coming back was awesome, he didn't dance down to the ring again when his brother was getting beaten this time.

Now what if I told you, Goldberg could be there too?

If used the right way, it could be entertaining. Taking a spotlight away, squash match, etc, not really interested.

Can't recall -- but does Jericho and Golberg have any unfinished beef? Possible storyline

I'm not sure really. Thats my main concern as well with Goldberg, keep him far away from the title or any of the main guys. Perfect world it would be how Sting has been used.

Hobbs vs Wardlow for the title
Jay White debut match vs Komander
Plus, El Hijo Del Vikingo vs Dralistico on Rampage

Setting up for a hell of a show in Pittsburgh Wednesday

Bought my Summerslam tickets for Detroit. First PPV I'll attend. Probably the only major 4 within drive distance I'll see in my lifetime so I can easily make it a day trip and not some weekend trip with a hotel and air fare.
Only issue is it's Hall of Fame weekend and my job blocks out that week for HOF festivities. I'm currently off the 5th of August. Let's hope I can avoid being forced for OT for a 24 hour window

Had to sell my Forbidden Door tickets, unfortunately. Too many things going on at home that weekend to be able to take a trip to Toronto.

Dynamite typically comes to Cleveland/Columbus in August, so I'll probably just use the money from Forbidden Door to get some ringside seats.

Another solid Dynamite, but it wasn't as strong as the last few weeks. Callis is scheming something I think to get Kenny to divide away from the Bucks and Page.

Switchblade/Komander was great, but the other matches tonight felt bare. They really need to do something other than play hot potato with the TNT title though.

Just got home from the show. Crowd was hot all night. Tons of fun.

All the matches were hits with the crowd.

Switchblade/Komander was obviously great. I like that Shawn Spears is being reintroduced with a little credibility, and I love that Komander has signed.

Was my first time seeing Omega live. The Wayward son entrance is great. BCC/Elite is top notch stuff. Was hoping we’d get the Hangman/Omega reconciliation tonight, but it’s tough be be disappointed when I got Takeshita instead. I didn’t pick up on the body language that has people pondering a Takeshita turn or some other Callis shenanigans. We were all too busy going ape shit for Takeshita.

Hobbs/Wardlow was interesting as hell, and a slobberknocker of a match. Big pop for Christian and Luch post match. Wonder which one will be challenging.

Women’s match was fun. Tonight was the most interesting stuff they’ve done with this feud since Ruby joined the fray. Plus, we were in Brittsburgh.

Adam Cole is my guy so I’m biased, but I loved his stuff with Jericho. Big heat for the ensuing beat down.

My only issue with the trios match is that they didn’t put a mic in Daddy Magic’s hands. I really wanted to know what makes his nipples hard.

I’m sold and behind pushes for all four pillars, but Jack and Darby kind of fell flat in their promos. Jack at least was able to make up for it in the ring later on. Sammy has been great lately, in my opinion. MJF is just the best, nothing more to say. He’s going to fuck Sammy over so hard. Match was great and I anticipated a screwy finish given that I 100% believe we’re getting a 4-way at DoN.

Lee Moriarty/Rocky Romero, Blake Christian/Gringo Loco on ROH and Jon Moxley/Christopher Daniels, Vikingo/Dralistico on Rampage are all worth watching.

I like the pillars angle but that opening promo was just not it. Jungleboy still feel like he comes off as playing a wrestler at times. His promos have gotten better but he just sounded very rehearsed and wooden last night like he was just trying to get to the next beat. I thought Darby's promo last week was great but he was awful last night. Sammy seems the most confident in his delivery - he just never seems to say anything of much substance.

I hope this pillars tourney is still leading to a 4 way at DoN. Sammy vs. MJF headlining feels a little ho-hum to me. Darby vs MJF had one of my favorite matches in AEW but do either of these guys feel like an actual threat to MJF right now? I don't think so. I feel this is leading to more fuckery by MJF and perhaps TK putting his foot down and forcing him to face all at the next PPV.

Not too excited for Wardlow's 20 day TNT reign to begin. I really feel like that belt has become just a prop at this point - hasn't felt like a big deal since Miro (where the fuck you at?)

Jay White is awesome, everyone loves the acclaimed, and I liked the Cole - Jericho segment - felt very attitude era to me. A bit disjointed but I thought it was a good show overall.

It’s crazy how hit or miss Darby is on the mic. Like you, I thought he killed it last week even before Sting got involved.

I’m almost certain that Sammy vs MJF is not the match we’re going to see at DoN. It’ll be the 4 pillars match after MJF tries to fuck Sammy and Darby over next week.

That pillars bit was pretty trash until MJF. "I respect you but here's why I don't respect you" x3. "You're spoon fed your opportunities" x3. I was so bored, none of them really looked like they were serious. The Sami/Jungle Boy match was great though.

The pillars thing hasn’t really worked for me, but I give AEW full credit for trying to elevate fresh blood into the main event scene at least.

If I had to watch another Moxley title match, I would have probably ended up gigging my own forehead just to get it out of the way before Moxley did.
