I think the WWE made the right call not paying her a ton of money. At this point, WWE doesn’t need to spend big on FAs because the performance center does such a good job developing talent. That’s not to say they won’t still sign people but it’s a much bigger priority for AEW to sign these top FAs.

I don't think it's fair to compare Mone to the likes of Punk/Edge, but the internet will always do what the internet does.

Comparing a female wrestler to a male wrestler even in 2024 is still disingenuous. For example, in roughly 1 month, Naomi's return to WWE at the Rumble has done just under 700k views. Jade Cargill highest viewed WWE video on YouTube is 1.1m in a month. Ronda Rousey at the Rumble in 2018 did 5M views in 6 years.

Women's wrestling has come a long way but to assume it's still not completely embedded with gender bias is definitely delusion or purposeful omission. (not directed at you obviously).

mone has to be the most overhyped wrestler in a long time. She hasn’t drawn anything since leaving. Can’t really cut a promo. Good in ring but so are a lot of people.

Let’s put on the tin foil hat. Let say Cody and Seth win (they are), then the next night, the Rock interferes and costs Roman the title. The legal document doesn’t specify who or how they interfere and they strip Cody of the title or rule it a no contest on Raw after Mania….

This is exactly how I see it unfolding. Reigns eats the pin night 1, turns the Rock against him for night 2.

Slow plays into a year of the bloodline falling apart after being divided.

Side note: does anyone else think they're leaning so hard into the Cody story that he might not actually win?

Seems to be setting up Drew-Punk for the title once Drew wins it at WM. Not sure if it’ll happen at Summerslam or earlier/later.

Would not be surprised at all. I do think they are setting up Rock vs Cody at SS.
