AEWs biggest weakness by far lately is the storytelling. The matches will always be great, but if the stories or the wrestlers personalities are not being showcased, it's gonna lead to bad ratings.

All I know is that this really should not end in some "elaborate ruse” where Rock was always against Roman and then straight turns on him to cost him the belt.

Cody should just win the main event clean and then have a title defense again heel Rock.

There’s plenty of ways to get to Rock/Roman a year from now that don’t involve an immediate face turn at Mania by Rock.

There’s no direction that they could go that would make sense for rock to turn on Roman after he just beat the hell out of Cody. If anything Roman turns on the rock out of jealousy or attacks him after the match and blames rock for them losing the tag match.

So far? They’ve never had storylines. It’s the laziest booking I’ve ever seen. Russo was a better booker. At least he had a storyline for everyone on the roster. Khan just throws together matches with no purpose other than he wants to see it.

That's just not true. AEWs had many great stories throughout its short history, it's just that recently they've hit a snag.

I agree that Khan needs to do a better job on the creative side, especially with the amount of talent they have on the roster.

The CEO isn't doing a damn thing. I feel bad for her, her cheers are dead, they certainly aren't going wild. Edge and Christain were doing great work. Not sure what needs to be done to draw attention.

Again, why are you surprised?? She’s awful and always has been. For fucks same, she went from the “Boss” to the “CEO”.
Like I said months ago, she’s boring, lazy and I’m shocked she isn’t injured yet.

She has never been great at promos and talking. It’s been a mistake making that the focal point of her debut so far. Put her in the ring and let her show off that way, her charisma shines through when she wrestles.

I think he should 100% give up booking ROH and give it to someone else. In addition, never put another ROH title on AEW TV again. Focus all the time on building AEW wrestlers and AEW titles. That’d be a good start.

When they got ROH, I really thought they'd use it as a developmental. Having the titles appear on AEW was a big mistake, especially with all the titles already in AEW.

Here’s one of the (many) problems with Tony Khan…

You just don’t get to pick and choose when television ratings and live event attendance are important things worth celebrating.

I completely understand that ultimately the only thing that really matters is what AEW’s annual revenue is from their media rights contract. I really do get that.

But Tony is the fucking mark who likes to celebrate the ratings and attendance when they are good.

But when ratings and attendance are not good and people point that out, those people are the assholes for not knowing that only the media rights deal matters?

I am pretty sure Mercedes is DOA like every other major signing over the past few years. Booking her as a face and having cut face promos or do commentary as a face is just not what she is good at.

She is known for her work as a heel and the ability to put on good matches. Tony just has no idea how to present characters and emphasize their strengths. This is nothing new. She took the money like everyone else and follows the marching orders of a mark.
