YOU PLAY the GM!!! who, and how much Do you PAY ?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah, theres alot of times where Z struggled on his J. But I think he has the smoothest J for a big man out there in the league. And yes, if Z can't stroke that J, we are screwed because outside of him, there is no one else on the team that can hit a mid range jumper consistantly.

BTW, you need a smaller sig homie.

It is sad when you're 7'3" center is a better shooter then all of your point guards.

That's why the Cavs better address both the pg and sf/sg quickly.

A good pg and wing player will open the floor up for everyone especially the bigs.

Personally I like power playing defensive big men.

In other words guys who are low post players, that play good defense, and clean up the defensive boards.

I believe if the Cavs get a good pg plus a wing man to go along with LeBron and a big man who attacks the rim like Dalembert or Chandler especially in pick and roll along with thier good defense the sky could be the limit for this team.

There are alot of ways to build a team and they can be with or without Z but personally I believe the Cavs would be better to go a different direction then Z especially if his asking price is more then 10 mill.

If he's not hitting his shots he is really not able to make a big enough contribution to the game to merit him staying in.

You may want low post players, but you are not going to find that in Dalembert and Chandler. The reason those two have not become regular contributors is that they are very raw on offense. They have defensive talents, but still lack strength. The loss of Ilgauskas's game will not be overcome by that pair.

Well, at least you like 1 'big' in the draft. Ike Diogu... :chuckles:

If the Cavs get a pg and a wing player who can score then whoever the bigs are will have an easier time scoring.

They are both young and have shown ability offensively and especially defensively and rebounds.

The loss of Ilgauskas may be overcome in a year or 2 offensively but will definitely be made up for with thier defensive tanacity.

Why do we need more rebounds?

With LeBron grabbing boards like a PF, it wouldn't be an important option to find a guard who can grab alot of rebounds. Drew Gooden can already grab double figures on a nightly bases. Sorta like Amare and Matrix.

I just want PG that can penitrate the ball.

I beg to differ, here's my rational.

We were ranked the 2nd best overall rebounding front court in the league.

Our back court was ranked 28th in the league in rebounding. That's pretty close to dead last of the back courts.

As a team we were ranked 14th in over all rebounding.

Consider that our back court was the WORST defensive rebounding back court in the entire league.

Consider our front court was the 8th best defensive rebounding front court in the league.

We got rid of J-mac so that is addition by subtraction as far as rebounding from back court goes. Insert Eric Snow who is one of best rebounding point guards in the league.

But, we need a shooting guard who will go to the boards as well. Ira was a fine rebounder, but we don't want to see him on the court very much.

Who was ranked 1st in rebounds for guards?

Boston's guards lead in rebounds, but their front court is pretty much dead last.

Cleveland's front coart is tied at 1st with Chicago, so it pretty much evens out.

There's only so many rebounds you can grab during a game, I don't see our guards rebounding at a significant amount anyways when our big men is already getting the job done.

Yes, I agree there is giva, and take. but to have evry position filled with players who can rebound there position, this is good. you consider a joe johnson, or a michael redd, or a larry hughes, all these guys rebound their position well. They will make us that much more efficient in rebounding.

The final step in defense being rebounding, this is a good sign for our future as a defensive team.

I'm hoping for a little more from the pg.

He has to be able to make open shots and is hopefully solid defensively.

Someone like Antonio Daniels comes to mind.
