Your 2019 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don’t think they will but if we decide to extend Lindor, it would be hard to keep anyone else in the 20mil range when the budget is 100 mil. We would have 40% of the budget in two people.
This post makes no sense for several reasons:

1. It implies Lindor would only be at 20 million per year which is obviously well under what he will actually get

2. It implies that we have a budget of 100 million which is a number that as far as I can tell was pulled out of thin air. We had a payroll of 135 million and 124 million the last 2 seasons. And even this season in a cost cutting year we easily cleared 100 million

3. It implies we don’t currently pay 2 players around 40 million dollars for THIS season. Kluber and Santana make about 38 million this year. Which with your arbitrary budget of 100 million is about 40%

@jack hammill

Sincerely did you mean two separate people or did you see Chang and Arroyo together a lot over the threads and associate them as one person? Chang is the Indians farm hand that was called up for a game. Arroyo is on the 60 day DL but we acquired him from the Rays. Both guys are looking to take the spot of Kipnis if he leaves next off season. Arroyo I don’t know well yet but being a former top 100 prospect and the center piece of a bigger trade earlier in his career, says he has talent, just has had injury issues. Sincerely though these two will be in the same sentence mostly because they are trying to get the same spot on the roster, when/if Kipnis is no longer on the roster.
Easy coach. Someone is gonna get butthurt over that question.

Question about Puig’s suspension; feel like he appealed it awhile ago, but nothing came back?

We haven’t had a suspension incident in years so idk even how long it takes.

Tell the folks what you said about black ppl in that pm

“I believe if black people had been allowed into baseball earlier it would have been a better product sooner. Also, Eminem has lost a step.

PS would you give Yasiel Puig hand release if it meant you’d get to straddle Jarlin Bieber and stare into his eyes while talking about advanced stats over a poke bowl at Winking Lizard?”

PSS Would you ask him to sign your pink softball glove

I guess MLB usually does the appeal in New York, I don't know if it always happens like this or not cause like you said the Indians haven't had too many cases, but since we have a series next week against the Yankees they are supposed to do it then last I heard.

Hopefully the suspension gets wiped in the best case scenario or gets reduced down to a game that way you can just use it as an off day for him anyways since I think he has played every game since he has been here.

Idk who any of these people are, baseball just gives me an opportunity to be autistic with numbers and stats

Look up Yasiel Puig and Shane Bieber. They’re up your alley.

Can you be more specific? Constructive criticism is often useful.
TBH I had not set foot into the Indians discussions forever so I picked a spot about 10 pages before the newest post and started reading. I must have picked a bad spot because it was 10 pages of bickering and trash posts, hence my reaction. Having said that the 6-7 pages I've just read have been excellent, informative, and appropriately conversational... which is what I was hoping to find in the first place.

I'm jacked that this team has battled all the way back, especially nice to see guys like Jose and Kip getting back into form. Looking forward to the next few months.

The only other thing I can hope for is to see Dolan shock the world and find a way to pay and keep Lindor when it all shakes out. Since that is highly unlikely I'm enjoying the ride while it lasts. Beats becoming sellers at this point of the season.
