I’m not sure what other hurdle Jose has to jump through before he can be activated now that he’s taking batting practice. As long as he isn’t experiencing any pain from today’s activities, I wouldn’t be stunned to see him cleared to return tomorrow.

Karinchak has some of the nastiest stuff in baseball.

But man is that dude weird, went back and watched the 9th this morning.

Dude was the most fired up person about a 7-0 game, screaming into his glove after the final out.

Called a mound visit with Perez earlier where Bebo actually appeared to roll his eyes and walk out to the mound.

Most may not have found this funny watching last night (like my wife), but I thought it was hilarious. . Perez was so annoyed when Karinchak was shaking him off that he stopped going through the sequence of signs w/ a man on 2nd and just started putting down 1 finger. That prompted the first mound visit. He did it again later in the inning. To say Karinchak is high strung is putting it nicely. Wouldn't be the first closer in that mold.

I would be surprised if they activated a guy without getting him any reps in a simulated game (since a rehab assignment isn't an option)

I didn’t take simulated games into account. Hopefully he’s ready to go for the Chicago series.
