Since Browns training camp started a couple days ago, you wouldn’t even know Cleveland had a baseball team if you turned on 92.3. I certainly share the excitement for the upcoming Browns season, but they’re literally only practicing right now. The worship of the team is getting out of control with Bull and Fox spending time yesterday discussing which Cleveland suburb Odell Beckham should live. Meanwhile, the Tribe has only been the hottest team in baseball since June and less than a week away from a pivotal trade deadline.

I am absolutely stoked for this current Indians team. I feel like they've made corrections from earlier in the year and are now cruising. they should be a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs especially if they can add another weapon

Oh and by the way they've got two All-Star starting pitchers that have been injured pretty much all season that should be healthy for the playoffs

They just did a 15 minute segment with Lloyd and it was terrible. Fox literally said “they only beat the Royals by one!” I shook my head and turned the radio off. Lloyd wasn’t much better. Gave the team very little credit for the run they’ve been on because of the schedule.

Fox has been pretty candid about not being too fond of baseball and even once said on air that he “hates regular season baseball.” I pretty much wrote off anything he has to say about the sport, especially after he once said that “no one cares anymore” about the Indians losing the 2016 World Series.

Fox is an idiot. Shouldn’t be on the air. The morning crew with Carmen and Lima cover the tribe extensively.
With 92.3 it really depends who’s on the air. Fox is worthless, but the Bull is really a baseball guy at heart.
Lloyd btw has had a horrible option about the Tribe all season. This run is making him look like a fool. He’s wanted them to trade everyone.

I think the whole team in general though with the bats is just playing better when it comes to offense, I mean in july the Indians have essentially been a top 5 offense in the league. Hence why I think they are not 100% worried about getting a bat since everyone has really been pitching in overall. Though I think the consensus on here is to get a bat if the production and price match what we need.

Salazar could look real good in the bullpen for the stretch run.

Adding in a veteran setup man, and putting Salazar in the pen, could make our bullpen even stronger. We could also have Salazar do some opening style of starts with Kluber/Carrasco down the stretch to get everyone stretched out and ready to go. In September we have what 28 guys we can have on the roster, so it is likely we should see all 3 guys on our September roster if rehabbing goes well.

Eh, I wouldn’t completely lambaste the Jose skeptics when there was a massive sample size of him nosediving from last season into this one. Hell, a good month-and-half doesn’t have me fully convinced he’s completely returned to the elite player he’s been.

It’s been absolutely awesome to see him trending upward but holding the phone for a minute isn’t egregious imo.
