Your 2019 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Really hope we don't trade anyone important.

This team has a chance. We may not be the best, the big bad Astros/Yanks/Dodgers of course loom large....HOWEVER...

The Indians have a pitching staff that could carry us very far if they get rolling at the right time.

Yeah eventually guys may leave, or get traded for less value, etc etc..

But I think this is another scenario in which the Indians have a chance. The team is really coming together emotionally and I think they're much closer than we've been...hasn't felt like this really since 16'.

Just really hope they go for it. Could be a very fun October.

Idk, it seems like Bauer is the one to trade since we won't want to pay him next year. I think the Indians just have to sell on guys like him to keep replenishing the farm.

You think the team in '16 felt like this? I think we remember the result of that team--not how large of an underdog we were coming into it. We ended up with just Kluber, Tomlin, some of Bauers's fingers, and Ryan Merritt starting for us by the end.

I'd say our pitching and our lineup both feel better now, but I had more faith in that bullpen.

If we don't trade Bauer, I will RCF bet you any amount you choose that the Indians sign Bauer for next year. This whole "Indians won't want to pay him next year" has absolutely no foundation in reality.

That 22 game streak in 2017, that team seem locked in and having a blast at the same time.
Just off a WS appearance. Could've been a win, but went 7.

One of the best pitching staffs in the history of baseball. Two MVP candidates in the field. A record-setting 22-game win streak. Beautiful summer weather.

And we couldn't sell out.

That's what I remember most vividly about that streak (besides Frankie's double off the LF wall to keep it alive).

Tonight is sort of a big game for Allen, he been raking from the left side like he on a mission, but it’s no secret he not as consistent from the Right side , if he proves he can hit LHP like he been doing against RHP, it might allows us to concentrate on relief pitcher or 2 instead of a Bat.....

Pretty strong take and not something I would care enough to bet on as I am a casual baseball fan. I just see him as the name on a lot of trade lists.

Losing the WS in game 7 extras AGAIN really took the wind out of a lot of sails. There was a feeling of an inevitable letdown in 2017 and sure enough.

His name has been talked about in trades since the beginning of the year because we have (had?) a crazy amount of starting pitching. We opened with Kluber, Bauer, Cookie, Clev and Bieber with Jefry, Plesac, McKenzie, Plutko, Civale... it's just a position of strength. Therefore, Bauer and Kluber were mentioned as valuable pieces we could move to improve elsewhere. Kluber because he's getting up there in age, and Bauer because he isn't signed through 2021. Since Kluber's not healthy, Bauer's the one left.

There are absolutely zero scenarios where the Indians just release a healthy Bauer with a year of arbitration left. Insinuating that's likely to happen is asinine.

It was our first year being "back" and we were looking up. In hindsight, sure, complain all you want--but that period in time was the absolute perfect storm and peak of Tribe excitement.

Jensen Lewis just stated that Vlad Guerrero Jr. is the obvious leader for the AL Rookie of the Year race.

It's pathetic that this guy's still on the air.

Shouldn't even be top-5.

1.0 WAR and a .739 OPS. Cool, he put on a show in an exhibition derby that didn't mean anything (and still didn't even win).

Mercado is light years ahead of Vlad Jr. (this season).

Will not have to ... Luplow

I'm not complaining in hindsight. Just telling you how people in the city felt. Think of this as journalism.
