Johnny Manziel: Swan Won't Return His Calls

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The idea that Hoyer didnt play well in the Baltimore game continues to be the product of a previously held bias. Hoyer had a great first three quarters, probably wants two or three plays back in the fourth quarter.

To date, Hoyer has yet to have a game that can be categorized as "bad".

As far as Manziel as a deep threat, c'mon cut the crap. He ran a 4.68 which isn't even all that fast for a QB. If he were a WR his official time would have put him 41st out of 44 WR participants.

Didn't he do his pro day in pads though? And game speed is what matters more

That was his official 40 time at the combine. I honestly don't remember if he ran a 40 at his pro day but yes he did his pro day in pads.

Regardless, don't open this discussion back up about him playing WR. It's absurd.

Actually laughed out loud.

He didn't run his 40 in pads, and game speed thus far has seen him try to turn a corner only to get chased down by a DL or LB.

But... But.. He totally burned the corner that was 30 yards away on that one trick play that one time.

the discussion was never about Manziel playing wide receiver but him lining up in different spots of the lineup with a play package.

the fact is the team did line him up at receiver . he did run a route and catch the ball.

They could also have him go in motion or run a reverse. etc..

this line of conversation is also generated by the Browns themselves practicing such plays in practice. to think its absurd to actually show up in a game is rather short sighted.

The Browns have stated they would have other ways to get Manziel involved in the game and have so. Whats absurd is this line of discussion was about a particularly minor part of the offense and has been scaled out of proportion in an attempt to shame posters not to discuss it at all

Dude, they ran an illegal trick play that was negated by a penalty. That hardly constitutes "lining him up at receiver".

so what position did he lineup in? and the play would of been legal on the field if someone hadnt picked up a penalty

1. He ran straight...with no one covering him. How the fuck do you come to the conclusion that "he ran a route"? Asinine.

2. You don't run a reverse with somone who has 4.68 speed. Manziel is quick, not fast.

3. I can't even believe you're still beating this drum. We may see Johnny in 2-3 more gadgets the rest of the year. Is this even worth discussion considering the minor impact it will have on the season?

apparently its worth the effort gor people to go out of their way to dismiss any reasonable discussion on the matter. if people dont wanna talk about manziel. im not sure why they continue to do what they can to kill the manziel thread.

Thanks for keeping the reasonable opinions alive in this thread.

And here come the crazies in media. One bad game from Hoyer and speculation will arise.

I love that the back up QB has media availability

Even if Hoyer comes back down to Earth and proves to be Just a top 15 guy, I want Manziel traded immediately. I'm so tired of hearing about him. "If he has to play a lot?"

I don't think I've heard someone use the phrase "play a lot" since I was 10.

Stop asking this guy any fucking questions and crowd around Hoyer to ask him how it felt to dominate the Steelers.

Trade him just so i can stop hearing Browns fans hate on one of their own guys incessantly.
