15th Roster Spot?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
They are likely not using Haywood in order to protect the trade asset from re-breaking his foot.

Haywoods trade value is based 100% on his unique contract and 0% on his play, health, or injury status.

OK. Then it IS on Blatt for not playing him more in situations when size at the rim could have made a difference.

He is so slow and lumbering that it makes him a net negative on both sides of the floor. He doesn't have anything left in the tank. It's only our front court non depth that has forced us to play him the few minutes we've had to this year. With Mozgov on board, those minutes will go down even more.

Perhaps he could have at least knocked Tony Wroten on his ass a couple of times. That in itself may have won one game...

Its too bad the Nets have picked it up. I was kind of hoping they would continue to stink up the joint and buy out KG. Don't know that he would come here, doubt it, actually, but would have loved to have him on the this team. Still enough left in the tank to play 15 minutes a night, still plays D, range out to 19 feet. Not to mention he's playoff-tested, and I don't think he'd have any problems lighting a fire under LeBron if LeBron stayed in "chill mode."

Have to wonder if A'mare eventually gets bought ought. Would he go back out to Phoenix to help bolster their fight for the 8th seed or finally join up with LeBron and former teammates Marion, Shumpert, and JR as our 4th big?

Now talk about history repeating its self. I would be for A'mare On this team the same team years before no Hixkson was given. If we get A''mare here I will shit my self.

I refuse to go through another A' mare Safari, therefore, I can not support this notion.

Good find: http://dleague.nba.com/player/khem-birch/
I trust him more on offense then Tristan already :chuckle:

Birch is viewed as lacking NBA size, both in terms of height (about 6-8 with only decent length) and bulk (210, maybe 220 pounds). A size profile of a PF, but a skillset of a center.

Lots of examples of undersized PFs who have succeeded in the NBA, but guys like Birch have been less successful historically. He's actually somewhat like Tristan, but isn't as strong or big.

That said, he was very productive at UNLV, 2014 summer league, and the D League. When a player is productive in college and the D League it is usually a good sign.

I'm guessing no Dalembert since he's been available for a few days now and no reports about us having any interest.
Too bad, I think he could be a good option on the bench. The BS in at the Knicks with terrible chemistry and triangle made him look worse. We still need a replacement for Andy. And if one of Love, Tristan or Moz are not available then we're back to struggling like we did before Moz was here when Tristan and Love got to play way too many minutes.

Amar'e would be hilarious if it actually happened. Dalembert and Jermaine may not be very good but we sorely, sorely need another big man..if Mozgov gets hurt, we are totally screwed

That's actually a pretty interesting idea, and why I don't think we're in a rush to fill that spot.

As far as Amar'e, I do wonder if he would willingly accept such a reduced role here. I think he would look to be a 3rd big on a good team first (Dallas (Best spot since they desperately need one after dealing Wright)? Miami (although they are not really a good team)? Clippers (If they are down on Hawes)? Houston (A much better fit here than Josh Smith)?).

But I could see him coming here since we have the Phoenix ties with Griffin and Matrix, and coming here would allow him to show that he could play that reduced role which is what he will have to transition to now.

I'd need to hear a more substantial rumor about Amar'e before i invest any more thought into it, i think him even being available, let alone coming here is a bit of fan fiction.

I'll be "that guy"...Blatt and Amar'e are both Jewish, so we have another connection on top of Griff and Trix :chuckle:
