In fairness, this could end up being a poor trade - anyone would have to admit that. Worst trade ever? Well, that's gross exaggeration to "over make" a point.
I completely agree that Love's situation (and I think he has also played hurt) makes any type of true evaluation of his performance so far a stretch. We have seen glimpses of what he can really do when Kyrie and Lebron were out. He is a freakish offensive talent who can score a number of ways, pass very well, and rebound (both offensively and defensively) very well. To call a rebounder of that caliber "soft" is silly at best.
The Cavs did the right thing trading for him given their circumstance. Other circumstances have led to him, so far, not being able to show what he can really do.
Whether it is judged a good or bad trade in the coming years has a lot to do with Wiggins. If he turns out to be the second coming of Jordan, or even of a Dwayne Wade, it will be judged by that standard. Etc, etc.
But really, who cares. It doesn't matter now. I'm just hoping the staff, Lebron, Kyrie can figure better ways to use his huge offensive skills. Because if you don't do that, it becomes easier to focus on his negatives - which all players have.
