Game Thread | Game #10 | Cavs @ Clippers | Nov. 7, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wade and Cedi should have played more, Okoro should not have seen the court
I thought the defense on PG was needed and a smart coaching move when nothing else was working. But once Okoro put the fire out, he had done his job. JBB left him in too long like a manager leaving a reliever in too many innings

I know the Bucks are the better team, but they just got spanked by the 1st over .500 team they've played all season...IMO that's a worse gut punch than this loss...especially for a Championship contender

Garland is fine, guys. Got a little too caught up in himself at the end. Generally, I like the aggressiveness and don't want that to change, he just needs to recognize the situation a bit better.

He's only 22 years old, he'll improve.
Coach should've called timeout and put a end to what he was doing wayyyy before they lost that lead.

We were sloppy with the ball all game. Even Mitchell was making lazy passes. Garland ran out of gas and he needed to give it up but the Clips were working hard to deny the ball to Donovan. JBB needed to dial up some screens to run Mitchell off of to free him up in crunch time, instead JBB just let them go playground style and it failed when LA turned up their defense.

No big deal, a hard fought loss on a west coast road trip and a back to back. Just learn the lessons, there are many to be taken from tonight.

These are the games where doubt creeps in. A choke job like this kills the joys of a long win streak.

Hopefully JBB has some answers for some of the apparent issues (despite the good record).

I've seen way too many comments now shitting on Garland for not giving Mitchell the ball. The Clips were denying the shit out of Donovan. Bitch about Darius choking and turning the ball over all you want, but implying that he tried to freeze Mitchell out sounds ridiculous.

Lots to complain about in this one, but to act as if it negates everything good we've seen up to this point is silly. I agree with @BimboColesHair in that there are plenty of haters that have been waiting for an opportunity to unload, and even by game thread standards, a lot of takes are bat shit crazy.

I really hope this team learns to hate losing. Winning is always fun and easy. I want to see them come out with a huge blowout win next game. Don’t let refs decide the game.

I’m packing up for next season.

We can’t win in the playoffs with the coach, the PG, the starting SF, and a part time player.

Nothing left to root for, those issues are just too deep.

I don’t think people are saying he froze him out on purpose! I counted three times in the final 2:00 that Garland had plenty of time to give the ball up to Mitchell and didn’t to go on one of his dribbling escapades! He’s young! These are growing pains!

This is his fourth year in the NBA. He’s a veteran.

I Agree, they also have to learn to match teams' intensity. When they turn the heat up so do you.

I just hope that Garland can be really fine with giving the keys to Mitchell when it matters, at least for now. He was kinda looking him off tonight.

Balancing a backcourt of two great scorers is tough. There must be some competition of some sort in such dynamics. I hope not, and that it's just gonna be a way to push each other rather than create any form of jealousy.

Honestly, I'm not even mad at that shot, if he was open, shoot it. if we want to point at something it should be the turnovers.
