2012 Draft Crush

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This thread is great but can you gurus fill me in on slime 2-5th round picks ? Any crushes that you think are undervalued? Guys that didn't get the pig enough but showed promise when the did; good defenders playing out of position; good defenders on bad defenses; etc.

My favorite sleeper of this draft is OT Bobby Massie of Ole Miss

6'6 320, and has been working very hard on his technique, diet and conditioning for this entire past year. Right now he is projected to be a mid-third round pick, and declared for the draft as an underclassmen. He has a great frame to build with, and is a natural athlete. He's thought of as a high character guy with a great work ethic, and while he doesn't have the elite athleticism it would take to play on the left side, he could be a perfect long-term solution at RT. The biggest downside is he may need most of next year to develop into a reliable option at tackle, and probably wouldn't start on day one. But if we were willing to suck it up and be patient, he could provide a great return for a third round pick, give us a decade-plus of production, and solidify our O-line as a top 8 in the league.

Being able to fill a need as big as RT for the Browns in the third round would be great. My only fear is how good he may look in the combine. He may put up numbers that send his value skyrocketing into the mid-second round, in which case we would have little chance of getting him with our third.

You just lost 95% of the Browns fanbase with that request. :chuckles:

WR Alshon Jeffery, #SouthCarolina is training at St Vincents here in Indy. Sources say he's weighing 249lbs + running a 4.88 Forty #NFLDraft

LOL......... :chuckles: What's up Selby?

Just about to post this. 250 4.88 that's horrible, way to eat yourself out of the fucking league. On this years Sports Illustrated preview he had a gut but god damn. Way to go Shawn Kemp at 22.

He could still play as a blocking TE…

WOW, most players just bust there ass for 5 months, and then let themselves go after they have been given millions….but not Alshon….

If he runs a 4.88 40, forget getting separation off corners, he'll have a hard enough time getting separation from defensive ends!

Damn this post is killing me. I was/am with Selby on taking a flyer on Jeffrey. I think, like most, that he's huge boom-bust talent. I was hoping this time after the season that all reports would be that he was working like crazy.

I don't know if I can trust what the trainer has to say, he is running a business at the end of the day (although his clientele looks to be pretty big).

So one article says he is working his ass off and can run around a 4.5, and another article says he is turning into an offensive lineman and runs like a 4.9. I'm going to guess that one of the two is complete bullshit. Until the combine comes around and we see how he looks and what he does, I will still hold firm in my belief that he could be a steal at either 22nd or 36th. I'm not going to change my mind on the guy right now when there are two completely opposite reports on him that are only a day apart.

I have a hard time believing you'd change your mind no matter which article was true. :chuckles:

If he showed up at the combine and ran a 4.8, I'd certainly change my mind on him. I may have grown up with a shitty education system in the south, but I don't think I'm that dumb. :chuckles:

Edit: Ironic how in my 803rd post I trash where I grew up. (803 was my area code)

Can Jeffery play RG?

Why stop there? Add even more bulk and plug him in at RT.

Edit: Do we know if he was invited to the combine as a WR or O-Lineman? :chuckles:
