2012 NFL Draft Rumor Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
When it comes to the Browns, and rumors believe literally none of it. I've heard reports about them wanting to move up. Reports on them wanting to still make McCoy the guy. Reports that they're going to go after Flynn aggressively.

It's obvious they're trying to stir the pot, and keep everyone guessing. No one has a clue what they're going to do. Just like last year when everyone was basically wrong on what the Browns had in mind.

I forget who, but someone brought up a great point earlier. Remember when the Browns were going to take Haden? Then as it got closer to the draft they were cooling on him because of his questionable speed. The Browns brass has shown that they're great at playing the media and hiding their true intentions.

I just don't see the leverage that St. Louis has here... If they trade down to 6, they likely lose out on Kalil, Claiborne, and Blackmon. Plus, we have better/more picks to give than Washington. Washington knows this. So if knowing this, Washington goes out and gets a free agent QB? All of a sudden St. Louis has even less bargaining power, and we might just be able to stay put. I really think if we call St. Louis' bluff, they take the sure thing in Kalil, and we end up with RGIII. Call me greedy, but that second 1st could be HUGE for us with needs at WR, RT, LB, CB, and G.

And playcalling matters how? When you have a QB like Colt you are very limited when you are a play caller.

Dude, chill out, I was only responding to this:

And Shurmur isnt the Offensive Coordinator anymore, Childress is.

That's it.

I would list our Biggest needs as QB, WR, RT, DE and CB. Our LBs are serviceable and so are our guards.

We need to replace McCoy, Mo Mass, Pashos, Jayme Mitchell and Sheldon Brown to be considered a playoff team. If we replace Fujita and one of Hardesty/Hillis we should be good enough to contend.

5 major holes, 2 secondary holes and some depth. That is all we really need

Say we do get leapfrogged, who do you guys want more, Blackmon or Claiborne?

Neither. I would rather trade down (Jacksonville) and get Richardson or Melvin Ingram. Would then seriously consider Foles at 22 and Criner at 37

I really don't think the Browns are in the position to be trading down in the 1st round. We need playmakers on this team, and Claiborne and JB are two of the biggest ones.

If Griffin isnt the one we want and we stay at 4. I'd go Richardson, Foles, Criner at 4, 22, and 37....that would make our team a lot better

Obviously things have changed from last year but I'll be kind of upset if we take Blackmon at 4 when we could have picked Julio Jones last year at 6.

Not positive, but I'm pretty sure when Childress got hired, I saw where Shurmer would still be doing the playcalling.

Shurmur will be doing the play calling but Childress will be doing the gameplanning and all the stuff behind the scenes.

Keep that in mind when Little blows up AND they take an impact player with the Atlanta pick. Gotta give to get.

Do you guys who likes the QBs really think they are worth the first round pick outside of Luck and Griffin?

Foles is depending on how he looks when he throws.

Oswieler has the potential but he is a very raw and risky prospect

Keep in mind the 26, 27, 60 rule does a lot to help predict QB success.

Without the Wonderlic scores so far RG3, Luck, Foles, Moore pass. If Foles scores good on his wonderlic (28ish) and interviews well he should be a first round pick. He has the measurables you want.
