2014-15 Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Atlanta, Washington, and Chicago all won today;combined with us losing of course. How has Atlanta been this good? They looked like runny ass when we played them.

Atlanta has been very good defensively the past two weeks after being trash before that.

On another note, can't believe Rudy Gobert went 27th in the draft. He hasn't scratched the surface of his potential and can make a difference in games. 9 points, 11 rebounds, 5 blocks, 4 assists, 1 steal, +12 against the Heat.

Phoenix just lost to Detroit....

The same way Antetokounmpo went 15th in a historically bad draft. Although, if some of these guys like Giannis/Gobert reach their full potential, it won't be that bad of a draft.

Golden State looks a couple of notches above everyone else right now. Things can change, players can regress, injuries can occur and other teams can step up, but right now this is easily the most well rounded team in the league and they have to be the early title favorites.

EDIT: I also imagine there aren't many people left in the Klay Thompson Doesn't Deserve a Max camp. Dude is a top 3 wing defender in the league and one of the 5 best 3 point shooters. He'll get paid the max and no one will blink an eye.

Shot chart from the first quarter. Warriors have 8 made shots outside of the paint to 5 inside. I dunno boys, if we put all of our eggs in the rim protecting center basket and run into this team in the finals...we may have some problems on our hands.

Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes have been beast's this year so far.

I thought the Warriors had the talent to push the Spurs last season in the West, but when Bogut went down right before the playoffs they were toast. The big question mark this year was supposed to be Steve Kerr, who technically never coached a game in his life. All he has done is design the best offense in the NBA and got Speights to play the best basketball of his uninspired life.

Great team, really enjoy watching them play this year. I'll be going bananas if we see a Cavaliers / Warriors finals.

Well, technically, Golden State's offense is the 7th most efficient in the league (Dallas's is by far the best), but its defense is by far the best in the league and the only one that is holding teams under 100 points per 100 possessions (97.5), but I see what you're saying.

Golden State has plus defenders all over the place who know their roles. Iggy (slowed some but still defensively), Barnes, Thompson, Green, and Bogut all slow teams down. Added to this you have a Curry who has become a better a defensive player and you wind up with plus defenders almost across the board as well as competent offensive players.

A much lesser version of this team played the LAC very well sans Bogut. LAC played really great pick and roll defense on Curry in that series and I'm sure the GSW will adjust this time and be ready for that blueprint against them in the playoffs. Should be an amazing Western Conference playoffs again.

I guess my point was that under Jackson, they had a mix of good defensive players and good offensive players, but often the plays themselves were too reliant on the offensive guys being superheroes. They were good, but not a solid team. Now I'm seeing a good scheme on both sides of the court and their record shows. Right now, Kerr has my nod for COY.

The Warriors are about to be 20-2. Crazy.

If cousins comes back and leads the kings to 40+ wins he's the MVP. Team is a joke since his injury

The Kings have been very fun to watch at times this season. Kudos to Mike Malone. They need Cousins, though. There are no other real number one options on that team with him out (nobody dare say Rudy Gay).

Demarcus Cousins won't be MVP of anything on a team that wins 40 games.

If anybody in the league could win MVP on a team that doesn't show out in the W/L column, it's Anthony Davis.

In reality, it's going to be Durant or LeBron. LeBron's the feel good story, Durant will have the narrative of leading a team out of the fire of injuries into a top 3 seed in the West.

If they keep it up it will have to be steph curry by a country mile
