I would buy this argument if the team was primed for a successful season. The Browns can afford to let a special teams guy go and wait and see on a project receiver.Easy for you and I to say. The Browns, however, need to care about Special Teams coverage and value Moore as a contributor somewhere on the roster. Pryor is a project, thus he really doesn't have much of a role; a spot on the 53 means you need to produce somewhere.
Again, I don't think it's a big deal, as I actually did think it was a long shot Pryor would ever accomplish anything at the position, but I don't agree with letting him go in favor of average veterans who likely wouldn't have a big role on this team if it were actually good (Moore, Hartline, Bowe, etc..). I would have rather have kept Davis off the roster too, as I don't think they need a 3rd QB right now.
It's a small move, not that impactful, but I still disagree with it.
