2015 Cleveland Browns Training Camp Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Have the Browns been HISTORICALLY bad in the first round since '99 or just like top 3 of teams since that time?

In 16 years the only first rounders that have sustained any success have been a Center, Left Tackle and CB. Important positions, no doubt, and Mack, Thomas and Haden are all Pro Bowl quality players. But to have had zero success at the skill positions (Minus Haden) and to have busted on four QB's is unreal.

The pre-season performance leads me to believe this. Let me ask your opinion. Do you think that Dray could be the one in jeopardy seeing as how he and Bibbs can be a bit redundant? If we assume that Bibbs will play TE and also slide into the backfield at times, wouldn't Housler be the type of skill-set the Browns would need at that position?

Wouldn't surprise me, but I think they really like Bibbs. Dray's blocking will be too valuable to cut in favor of Housler.

If it comes down to Bibbs/Housler, I'm assuming they keep the kid.

I hope they keep Lenz. Yeah, he's an undrafted guy who has been knocking around practice squads, but teams keep seeing something in him, and he's an unsexy player who just has lost out in the numbers game.

I think he can play. Go with the obvious Brian Brennan comparison, but the kid has absolute gluefingers. A smart possession type guy.

Lenz is just a real scrappy player. Gym rat type guy.

Is Poyer going to make the roster? My FF team name depends on him.

Andre Davis from buff just got cut, decent size receiver who scored against the Browns in preseason. He is a UFA, but looked good, might be better than keeping Mayle or even Pryor.

I tried my hand at predicting the roster a week ago. If he makes it, its because he is so valuable to special teams. I don't think Poyer is a need anymore. Campbell and Bademosi have outplayed him this preseason, IMO.

I'm sure some people are pulling for Lentz because he has been steady. I just wonder if he contributes as much as other options to special teams. Marlon Moore is starting to look like a must keep to me because he makes plays in punt and kickoff coverage as well as returning kicks.

That, or Whitner is sending a passive aggressive message to a certain former OSU guy that he is competing against...

Ya, I'm thinking that's not the case...

Brian Hartline has been probably the best WR in camp.

Could not agree more. I would keep him. The kid might not be sexy, but he clearly can play.

I am hoping he makes it. He's a good football player in my opinion.

LOL Lenz isn't fighting for a roster spot with Hartline- he is fighting with a converted QB who couldn't play because of a boo-boo leg.
