2015 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
P12 is down to 2 playoff contenders.

Stanford, who lost to NW by 10 and NW has gotten obliterated 2x in Big Ten play.

And Utah, who's best win in a 7 pt home win over Michigan.

If Utah loses somewhere and there is ACC turmoil, possible to see 2 BT, B12 or SEC teams in the CFP. Wouldn't surprise me to see the P12 and ACC champ left out for Baylor and TCU.

Ok, so my gf will be gone for a good chunk of tomorrow. I have the WatchESPN app, what games should I be watching tomorrow afternoon?

Unfortunately, tomorrow is probably the "weakest" slate of games in the college football season so far. There's only one ranked matchup, 15 Texas A&M at 24 Ole Miss, and both of those teams lost convincingly last week so it's hard to get excited about that one. BUT that doesn't mean that some of these games that look like snoozers (blowouts) today wont end up being exciting tomorrow.

Anyway, these games would probably be worth a watch or at least keeping an eye on..

Clemson at Miami (noon, ABC)
Northwestern at Nebraska (noon, ESPN2)
Indiana at Michigan State (3:30pm, ABC)
Texas Tech at Oklahoma (3:30pm, ESPN2)
Texas A&M at Ole Miss (7pm, ESPN)
Florida State at Georgia Tech (7pm, ESPN2)
Ohio State at Rutgers (8pm, ABC)

Like I said... leaves a lot to be desired and I only listed games on ESPN family of networks since you brought up the Watch ESPN app. Otherwise, there's other games on CBS and FOX too.

Right now. I'd guess the 4 playoff teams will be

Bama/LSU winner
Clemson/FSU winner
TCU/Baylor winner
OSU/MSU winner

This assumes each winner wins their conference as well. PAC12 might be at the bottom wrung of the pecking order.

Team to watch is ND. If they win out, they'll have wins over Texas, Georgia Tech, Navy, USC, @Temple, @Pitt and @Stanford, with the one loss being a 2 pt loss @ Clemson. The season finale vs Stanford might eliminate the loser.

Hard to believe Stanford gets left out if they win out.

Obviously they do if the other 4 conferences have undefeated champs.

But if it is 1 loss Stanford vs a 1 loss SEC Champ or 1 loss OSU, do they get in?

The likelihood of which is almost nil.

Not against OSU, no.

But against the ACC? Probably.

A 1 loss FSU might get the nod, especially if Florida wins the SEC East. They'd have wins over Clemson and Florida.

And Stanford will have wins over Notre Dame, USC, at Wazzu, UCLA and Cal

FSU would have wins over Clemson, Florida and the Coastal Champion, each of which could be better than all of those wins you mentioned.

As would Stanford over the South champ.

I think this argument is more realistic while talking about Clemson.

Maybe. Won't see for a few weeks.
