10 teams make the playoffs in the MLB compared to 16 in the NBA, that's a huge difference.

If there were actually parity in the NBA then yeah, but there isn't. I have no idea how you can argue that there isn't parity in baseball, there simply isn't a decent argument to the contrary.

They are drastically different situations. A more similar comparison would be if the Royals took down the White Sox in a 7 game series. Nobody would care then.

I get it, you're anti-fun. I just have no problem with people celebrating their accomplishments.

Anti-fun? Not at all. I just think you celebrate titles, not participation. If you think everyone should get a trophy just for showing up, that is your opinion not mine. We can agree to disagree.

Edit to say: Let's move on. I look forward to seeing some celebrations after the teams win the pennant in a week.

Yeah, trophy for just showing up... That's what this is.

Volquez had quite a game.

Game was closer than scoreboard shows imo. Blue Jays had two people on base two times with good hitters up to bat when the score was 3-0 and I was afraid they were going to tie the game both times.

Another comeback. Royals weren't even half a threat to score until the 7th. Price was pitching so well too until that error and the crowd got into it.

baseball should end before football starts. Baseballs only purpose is to hold me (specifically me) over until football starts. Every single year I intently follow baseball up until football starts. I haven't watched an MLB playoff game since 2007 (excluding play in)

I'm fairly new to baseball. Started watching like 5 years ago. But I'm super glad for the MLB postseason, especially as my NFL team sucks (Chiefs).

I was at Arrowhead for that Chiefs-Bears game last week. I think I'm done watching this season.

Football sucks

Cueto sucks. Anybody who wants to pay him 20 mil or more is insane. Not going to miss him when he is gone.

Somebody please Gif that Cueto shit lmao it was hilarious

14-2 my goodness. I wish the format wasn't 2-3-2. I wanted to hear that raucous KC crowd one game from the WS.

I guess we will see how the Cubs-Mets game goes tonight but the Mets are looking pretty dangerous right now too. Pitchers are zoned in and they are hitting well (Murphy especially).

I'm not counting out the Blue Jays yet either, but I wonder how they will bounce back tomorrow. My heart stops everytime Donaldson, Bautista, or Encarnacion are up to bat. Always a threat for a homer and always a 3 run shot from being back in any game basically.

Insane that the Jays have three guys with such ridiculous power. Wish the Tribe could find one.

Getting swept in the NLCS would be so Cubs.

The games have been relatively close score wise. And "low" scoring compared to the ALCS, which is weird because the Royals have never been a high scoring team.

The Blue Jays bullpen is doing them in. There starters aren't quite performing like they are capable either but still. Mets pitchers are pretty lights out right now from what I've seen. But I wonder where they would be if Daniel Murphy didn't suddenly play out of his mind and have one of the greatest postseason runs of all time. It seems like he is the whole fuel for their offense.

I think I will absolutely love watching their fan base eat a young, exciting baseball team alive with these kinds of self loathing opinions. Makes the Cards fan in me a little more optimistic.
