i dont watch this sport as I dont respect that everything about the game is simplified to howe well every single person hits a ball and how well the other guy pitches to them all, and the last place team in the leastgue can be +50 and the first place team can be a less than that, and in 162 games, the 4 out of 15 teams that make it normally win 1 or 2 more games than the next 5 that will be considered losers.

that being said, how the fuck did st louis get knocked out?

how are the mets in the goddammned world series?

in my 22 years of memory maknig life, none of these teams have ever been good and theyre all here.

if someone can debate my first paragraph and tell me what im missing, id be ok with that.

Why are the Mets in the World Series?

Formula to beat Mets: Don't pitch to Daniel Murphy.

Don't necessarily have to walk him, just pitch away and don't give him anything in the middle (or whatever zone he likes it.)

Yes!! Royals did it! Oh my goodness my heart was pounding. Wade Davis coming out cold after a rain delay. Guy on third with no outs, guys on 1st and 3rd with 1 out. Guys on 2nd and 3rd, 2 outs, Donaldson up to bat... 1 run game.

Woooo. Can't believe we got out of that one. I wouldn't have felt good about a game 7.

The Moose home run was complete bullshit. With that said, Toronto had plenty of opportunities to win it - a common theme throughout the series. Should be a good matchup against the Mets.

Run, sorry I was hopped up. Still can't believe they didn't score with a man on third and no outs. I thought the tie was inevitable and I was worried about them taking a 1-2 run lead at the least.

To be honest, the first time I saw it I couldn't really tell. The second time I saw it, it looked like it slightly deflected off the first (brown) glove (which would have made it a homer) and then the second glove underneath scooped it up. Third time I went back to not really being sure. I think it would have just scraped by and been a homer and I'm not trying to be biased. Close call either way.

I'm pretty confident against the Mets, but I check their message boards and most seem to be way too confident against us. Many of them think they will win in 5 games. They think they have a major advantage of already seeing Cueto in the NL (even though I think that benefits us way more seeing how bad he pitched against TOR). And they think they have a major advantage with the DH situation.

Mets do have really good starting pitchers. But Stroman, Estrada, and Price were no slouches. Mets have good hitters, but reversely don't realize how good KC has been hitting all postseason. And we faced Donaldson, Encarnacion, and Bautista. edit-And almost forgot Tulo.

I think Mets fans are a little delusional after sweeping the Cubs. It won't be easy beating us.

Outside of Tito's bunt fetish he is the guy I want here for a long time.

Hopefully the Royals can close the deal this time. Mets kind of remind me of the Royals last year in the sense that they were the inexperienced team that got hot at the right time. Different strengths, as the Mets have a potentially dominating staff while the Royals are built on offense n bullpen, but they jelled at the right time.

So basically it comes down to whether the Royals can slow down the Mets offense. While Murphy has been unconscious that Mets lineup still has enough vets like Granderson, Wright and Cespedes to keep producing. I think this is going to be a very competitive matchup.
