2016 Browns Mock Draft Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Browns stay at 8:

1 - 8 - DeForest Buckner - DL - Oregon - Long and athletic, his talent can't be taught. His technique and consistency can improve. Instant impact.

2 - 32 - Michael Thomas - WR - Ohio State - All-around wide receiver capable of being a #1 in time.

3 - 65 - Kentrell Brothers - ILB - Mizzou - Finds the football like few others can, all over the field.

3 - 77 - Daniel Braverman - WR - WMU - Will absolutely play at this level due to his elite quicks in the slot. Great hands and a knack for making touch catches at big moments.

4 - 99 - Kevin Byard - S - MTSU - Productive, long term-term starter for an MTSU team that sorely lacked defensive playmakers.

4 - 100 - Caleb Benenoch - OL - UCLA - Long and athletic prospect could be in the mix at RG and RT. So much talent, but he's still a bit undersized and needs to add a bit more strength.

4 - 138 - Jeff Driskel - QB - La Tech - Shows impressive quickness and has what could be the best natural arm talent in the draft. His time at Florida was disastrous, he was never properly developed and he finally began to show his talent at La Tech. Might not be around here.

5 - 141 - Tyler Higbee - TE - WKU - Off-the-field trouble hurt his perception, but he's a heck of a prospect who can catch and block.

5 - 172 - Harlan Miller - CB - Southeast Louisiana - Undersized guy who plays with hype and has great cover skills. If they think he can put on some weight and develop his backpedal, he's a guy I really like in the future.

5 - 173 - De'Vondre Campbell - LB - Minnesota - The physical talent is NFL caliber, the instincts are what holds him back. He's got to dedicate himself to understanding defenses, but his talent cannot be questioned.

6 - 176 - Stephen Anderson - FB/TE - Cal - Noticed him while studying Goff, and he may well be a higher prospect. He can block well, and slides out of the backfield as a mismatch on linebackers.

7 - 223 - Delvon Simmons - DL - USC - Developmental DL prospect with long arms and power who you hope develops as a 5-tech.
I REALLY like Braverman and would be thrilled with him as our future slot machine.

Well that's just poppy cock Nate.

I will be there frantically shit posting. The NFL draft is my favorite day of the year

Strongly vote for chat so we can all talk about how much we hate Connor Cook

Maybe I am just a dumbfuck, but can't you create your own chat with that little bar on the bottom of the website? When you do, post it in here/the 1st round thread and people will join?

Final Mock - 1st Round:

1 - Los Angeles Rams - Jared Goff - QB - Cal - They got their guy, the Browns didn't. Jared Goff and Todd Gurley, with Aaron Donald leading that defense...You'll see them grow, quickly.

2 - Philadelphia Eagles - Carson Wentz - QB - NDSU - Hard to imagine Wentz justifying the price it took to get him, but I still think he can be a productive QB with the potential to be better than average.

3 - Jacksonville - Jalen Ramsey - DB - FSU - Jacksonville jumps up in front of Jerry for the guy they covet.

4 - Dallas Cowboys - Joey Bosa - DE - The Ohio State University - Unhappy about not getting Ramsey, the Cowboys beef up their front seven with Bosa who can move all around their defense.

5 - San Diego Chargers - Ronnie Stanley - LT - Notre Dame - There is too much smoke here to ignore. The Chargers said they've been fixed in on their guy for a while, that leads me to believe it's either him or Buckner. The Bolts get a pick back and still get their guy.

6 - Baltimore - Laremy Tunsil - LT - OleMiss - Big trouble for the AFC North, as Tunsil is the best prospect in this class to me. How he's still here at this point is shocking, but the Ravens will take him with open arms.

7 - San Francisco - DeForest Buckner - The Browns get scooped again, this time by the 49ers who pair him with former college teammate Arik Armstead on a solid DL.

8 - Miami - Vernon Hargreaves - CB - Florida - Everyone thinks they're moving up for Zeke, but I'd be inclined to believe Hargreaves is the target. Tannebaum loves to build his defense through CBs.

9 - Tampa Bay - Shaq Lawson - DE - Clemson - Pass rush specialist for a Bucs

10 - New York - Zeke Elliott - RB - The Ohio State University - The Giants spent like madmen to fix their defense, now they add a complete back to their offensive arsenal that looks as impressive as anyone on paper.

11 - Chicago - Sheldon Rankins - DT - Louisville - Teams who passed on Aaron Donald a few years ago regret it, Chicago doesn't make this mistake. Rankins is so active and will be a great pick here.

12 - New Orleans - Myles Jack - LB - UCLA - Yes they have Stephone Anthony, who is fantastic, but Jack is too good to pass up and the Saints can use his speed on the outside.

13 - Cleveland - LaQuon Treadwell - WR - OleMiss - His game speed is elite, his 40 time isn't. The Browns add a playmaker for their offense and pick up another 3rd rounder plus a pick next year.

14 - Oakland - Karl Joseph - S - West Virginia - With two big, athletic CBs on the outside, the Raiders are looking for someone to be an impact player at S. Joseph can be that guy.

15 - Tennessee - Leonard Floyd - EDGE - Georgia - Really tried to find a place for him before this, there's alot of smoke about him going in the Top 10.

16 - Detroit - Corey Coleman - WR - Baylor - With Marvin Jones and Golden Tate on the outside, the Lions need to find someone to matchup in the slot and make plays.

17 - Atlanta - Darron Lee - OLB - The Ohio State University - Flat out one of the highest ceiling players in this draft.

18 - Indianapolis - Ryan Kelly - C - Alabama - Solidifies the interior of the line for years.

19 - Buffalo - A'Shawn Robinson - DL - Alabama - Versatile lineman allows them to get creative with some fronts.

20 - New York Jets - Eli Apple - CB - The Ohio State University - Youthful New Jersey native comes home, working in next to Revis and as his heir apparent.

21 - Washington - Reggie Ragland - ILB - Alabama - The Redskins have alot of talent on D, but Perry Riley and Will Compton in the middle of their defense probably could use an upgrade. Also considered TJ Green here.

22 - Houston - Will Fuller - WR - Notre Dame - Need someone to take the pressure off Hopkins, he can provide a deep threat to occupy safeties while Hopkins goes to work.

23 - Minnesota - Josh Doctson - WR - TCU - Tall, handsy receiver who can provide a threat at multiple levels of the field. A great compliment to Diggs.

24 - Cincinnati - Jack Conklin - OL - Michigan State - I just don't know how he fell this far, but I couldn't find a spot for him. Really praying the smoke to Cleveland isn't true.

25 - Pittsburgh - William Jackson - CB - Houston - Desperately needed for the Steelers, Jackson is a well rounded CB with great skills and was coached well.

26 - Seattle - Cody Whitehair - OL - Kansas State - This pick makes too much sense, he's an elite level OG who can absolutely play tackle in this league too.

27 - Green Bay - Taylor Decker - OT - The Ohio State University - Prototypical GB offensive lineman, can lineup at either tackle spot.

28 - Kansas City - Keanu Neal - S - Florida - Bit outside the box here, but Neal is a ferocious hitter who pairs nicely with the rest of their secondary.

29 - Arizona - Paxton Lynch - QB - Memphis - Taking the heir apparent to Carson Palmer is becoming critical. For a team which doesn't have too many holes, now is the time to jump at the guy they like.

30 - Carolina Panthers - Kendall Fuller - CB - VT - The loss of Josh Norman is felt here, so they go out and replace him with a polished coverage veteran.

31 - Denver Broncos - Connor Cook - QB - Michigan State - They've been unable to lock down their QB of the future, and likely don't do it with this either. But I think they'll try.

I would be very happy with a trade down for a 3rd and pick up Treadwell.

Very pleased.

Now. That would be horrible at the top of the draft. Pass on Jack due to the injury. Way to high for Hogan.

Solid guys the rest of the way although I thought Collins was one of the high fumble rate guys, which if true would be concerning.

Would 100000% take Jack Allen if he actually falls to the 6th.

And really I don't mind Collins there.

But definitely not a draft I would get super hyped over.

you are a p-word for not showing pick 32.

Great job tho. as always. I feel like I am ready to watch the draft, feel overly confident about my knowledge based on a couple of sentences about each player, and ready to instantly judge every team, calling most GMs stupid. CAN'T WAIT.
