2016 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wouldn't expect the Indians to go out and spend a ton on another long-term free agent contract. You'll see one year deals and trades.

I like Rajai Davis. He's struggled this season but he's always hit LHP and remains effective on the basepaths. He'd be a nice platoon partner with Alejandro De Aza, who has always hit RHP. Mike Napoli might be an option at DH. He's had a really rough year, but he's picked it up a bit in the 2nd half. I could see interest in Shane Victorino, although I'm not sure that would be a good idea.

Before anyone jumps on me, none of these guys are worth major financial commitments. We're talking low money, one year deals. Any significant additions the Indians make will come via trade.

Austin Jackson seems like an Indians type signing.

Any feasible chance that the Tribe could strike a deal this offseason to land Adam Lind from Milwaukee? If so, what would it likely require the Indians to surrender?

All depends on if the Brewers think they're competitive or not.

At an $8M team option, I don't really see why the Brewers would move him.

If they did, I'd imagine the price wouldn't be horrible though.

A second tier prospect and a younger, ceiling type prospect.

Thanks for the feedback, b00bs. While I have you, what are your thoughts on Charlie Blackmon as a potential solution at CF for the Tribe next season?

Home/Road splits are a bit too much for my taste and he doesn't fill the defensive void like I'd like him to.

I honestly think you could see Jose Ramirez give CF a try in the Dominican this winter.

Another name I'd like to acquire is Jackie Bradley Jr. from Boston. Hasn't gotten it together at the big league level, continually hits well in AAA.

Could need a change of scenery, but he can flat out go get it in CF.

If Aviles doesn't return to the Tribe, I would imagine that Ramirez would be plugged into feel the utility infielder role though. Sorry, I just can't get excited about the idea of taking a flyer on Jackie Bradley. You might as well have Almonte hold down the fort until Zimmer is ready instead of unloading a prospect for Bradley.

I don't think you'd need a real prospect for Bradley.

Which is why I'd be interested.

We've seen five minutes of Almonte, but I'll reserve judgement on him until the end of the season.

5 minutes of Almonte in which he's shown to be leaps and bounds better at producing over the 2 years Bourn has graced us.

I don't see the problem.

Wait. Small sample size Indians? Mark Reynolds says hi.

Basing your future team off of 2 games should definitely be how you run a team...I don't see how things can go wrong.

Funny thing is, 2 months into next year, if Almonte is starting in CF, I'm willing to bet you'd be one of the people complaining that "They didn't even try to get better over the off season".

The future you speak of is the rest of this year and next year or at least until Zimmer is ready if we go to him.

Almonte is the starting CF for the rest of way. We'll see just how much better he looks than Bourn by season's end.

What happens if he looks worse than Bourn, cause it is a real possibility.

Also, I don't get you. You slam Ramirez so much for being a ~.200 hitter, while praising Almonte who was a .204 hitter in San Diego this year. Both of them are just as hot as the other, Ramirez since he has been called back up and Almonte for 2 games. One is 22, the other 26. Yet the 22 year old "will never be a solid rotational player in the MLB", while the other is already better than Bourn, who was worth 2 more WAR in his 2+ years as an Indian than Almonte has had for his entire career (3.5 to 1.1).

Any updates on Naquin's concussoin? Was really hoping to get a look at him in CF this year.

He doesn't care about that, he's literally posting bullshit so you'll respond to him.

That's what he does.
