2019 Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'll never forget the Baron Davis cut throat towards the Heat's bench when the Cavs beat them while LeBron was with a member of the Heat.
Baron Davis is one of my all-time favorite NBA players.

The Warriors were my 2nd favorite team when he played there, and when he beat the 67-win Mavs in 2007 in the first round it was probably one of my favorite non-Cavs playoffs series.

That's when the Warriors were badasses and fun to watch. Unlike the current team...

Also, from that same 2007 playoffs was one of the nastiest dunks of all time (also Baron Davis):

its hard to believe that is the same franchise as the one today

I think GS was pretty fun to watch during the 2014/15 & 2015/16 seasons. A fatally flawed juggernaut with super uptempo offense and a penchant for giving up, getting back big leads.

It was the KD NBA cheat code thing that made them unbearable.

Also: I loved AK, he was about 5-8 years ahead of his time, imo.

Fuck no. Klay and Curry are both cunts.

I agree about AK. He would be a great big in today's game.

I’d like to sign and athletic 3/4. Someone who can guard multiple positions a bit and run the floor. Jeff green, Derrick Williams type. Someone on the vet min who can catch lobs on the break and be an outlet for love passes. I think that’s the one spot missing on this team. We’ve got our shooters, PG, Bigs, stretch bigs.

I always said that it would have been better for the Cavs to win it in 2015 and then the Warriors coming back in 2016 and winning it, finishing a incredible season. The injuries and then collapse led to todays mess. Its sorta like a Presidential "what if" if Nixon had won in 1960 or Ford in 1976. We will never know.

Hopefully Preston will be that guy sooner than later. I liked the idea of Noah Vonleh before the Knicks picked him up. I thought we should have loaded up on the Jeff Green and Derrick Williams types when LeBron was here to take pressure off LeBron. Im not sure they help as much now.

An athletic backup stretch 4 would help more than the tweeners like Jeff Green or Williams. Nance should be able to help take pressure off Love since both can play PF and Center. A stretch 4 could come in and let Love play center. I think we would lose rebounding and 3 point shooting with a tweener. Better to find a true SF and/or a stretch 4 with our current roster make up.

ln addition would love to see cavs take a shot on Pat Connaughton. Very athletic. Decent shooter, would be good off the bench

Younger than Hood. Better than Hood, tbh.

EDIT: Looking back, his 44" vert is a crock of shit. Very obviously tanked his standing reach measurement. Still a quality roleplayer, though.

Better measure is his max vertical reach (i.e. how high he actually touched when he recorded his max vert). Connaughton checks in at 8'0" + 44" = 11'8". That's very solid for a SG/SF, but nothing spectacular.

More importantly, though, he's clearly a competent outside shooter and a competent defender. Could realistically earn the coveted "3&D" title with some gradual improvement over the next couple years.

actually surprised no one has picked him up yet. I think he would be a solid addition off the bench for us. he is still young and as you said...a little gradual improvement and you got a nice role player

Not saying he's Cedi obviously, but would make sense to offer him a contract similar to what we gave Cedi last summer. Could quickly become a positive-value asset on a deal like that.
