Andrew Wiggins

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That made me sick. This kid shouldn't have had to go through all of this. We diced around by not signing him day 1. Now he has cavs jerseys, cards and more and is getting one of his 1st ESPN interviews only to be asked about getting traded. This was handled horribly.

I would feel a lot better if that fatass Parker was drafted to be traded to the Winterfell..

First of I am all about getting Love but that was a terrible job by the interviewer.. is that gonna be a collector's item...yuck yuck yuck.. be professional dude..even though it went over Andrews head

anyways I don't feel sorry for Wiggins though.. yea it sucks to go from Cle to Minny but he is a 19 yr old millionaire and this is his GF

I am pretty sure nothing would have changed if we signed him earlier. Sure, he would have been able to be traded earlier, but I don't think he would have been traded at this point anyway. The kid is making millions of dollars to play basketball. I don't feel sorry for him at all. Wow, he had to answer a few questions. He could have just not done the interview or told them he wouldn't answer any questions about the trade. This is his agents fault. No one elses if you ask me.

I wonder if the interviewer was just told to fish for a story. No one can be this oblivious of the situation at hand.

Cavs couldn't have signed him on Day 1 without messing up their salary cap (to sign LeBron, etc.).

I'm not saying this hasn't turn out badly. But there were important reasons they couldn't sign him immediately--would have meant dumping even more players.

Does anyone have a link to the interview? I missed it.

I don't feel sorry for Wiggins. He's 19, a millionaire, and he's getting rich playing basketball. He has it made. Regardless of whether it's in Cleveland or Minny.

I'd love to keep him and you can tell he would like to stay in Cleveland. Who could blame him? We drafted him and he would get to play with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving instead of Rubio and Kevin Martin.

With that said, I did feel a bit bad for him during that interview. What an awkward and horribly done interview by ESPN. What do you expect though? If I were Andrew, I would have just flat out said I'm not talking about any trade rumors and squashed it after the first question. He's a great kid though.

Ok I DID feel awful for Wiggins after watching that interview until I saw this pic of his GF. Don't feel bad for him anymore :chuckles:

But on a serious note I'll root for him regardless. Seems like a genuinely good kid. Minny is not a great situation for him but at least he will get alot of freedom/minutes if he is dealt there.

Cavs would not have been able to do the Utah trade if wiggins was signed earlier.

Seriously fuck the Cavs. They couldn't be possibly handled the situation any worse. At least tell the kid early on you're trading him. They've been playing games with Wiggins and the fans since draft day.
"We didn't draft him to trade him."
"Wiggins is not on the table."
And then rumors surface they want to trade him and they've been prolonging this mess. Wiggins won't be a Cavalier next month. Everyone knows that and the Cavs have known that for a while. It's simply disgusting what they've done to this 19 year old kid, millionaire or not.

Why would we feel sorry for Wiggins? LOL. He's still going to be playing in the NBA. Fuck cares?

Why are people mad? His dreams aren't shattered. He won't be playing here, but he'll still be in the NBA.
