Anyone get a PS3 pre-order?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
First of all, ps3 games do not cost around $100 each. They are going to cost the same as 360 games which is normally in the $59 dollar range.

Secondly, I'm 27 and a big fan of Nintendo. If you grew up loving and playing the Nintendo then you might want it. If you were born in the 80's and have no idea what Atari is then you might mock it and say the Wii is for 8 yr olds.
The games and controller will be a totally new way to game and I look forward to it. I will get one.

PS3 I will get eventually as I'm in no rush. But I must add that you shouldn't mock the Wii, as Sony blatently ripped off the idea for motion sensors in they're new controller when it is exactly the same as a ps2 controller.
So what is Sony bringing to the next generation of gaming? Blue-ray?
Woopee!
Do you know that games are not even big enough yet to use the amount of storage space on a blue ray dvd?
And I must add that the ps3 controller which can be re-charged over and over like an ipod will eventually die and you will have to buy a new controller for 50 bucks! And that is wack!

in order for a game to fill up a blu ray dvd, the game would have to be so astronomically huge, itd be insane, i couldnt even imagine, the whole technology is, that information is writen with a much smaller laser then regualar discs so you can put MUCH more information. you could fit 10 seasons of the simpsons all on 1 blu-ray disc, just to give to you an idea of the capacity of one.

and as far as the re-charable controller, that sucks, but im sure they will correct it somehow.

that's bullshit about the IPOD.. i bought one and eventually it stopped working.. its like a 4 year old ipod now.. i used it everyday.. and the battery started messing up.. i left it a lone for 6 months and it works kinda now...

it depends on what generation ipod you got, and if you get the warrenty, you take it and they will swap it out for a new one, my dad swaped my sisters out. and when my old black and white one broke 5 times, best buy gave me a brand new video one.

You're foolish to think that the Wii is marketed only to young kids.

The motion sensing controls, which are by now perfected by Nintendo while the PS3 is struggling to tack on this technology to its machines, is certainly the next step in gaming.

Of course, it's not marketed to the stay-home-play-video-games-for-8-hours-a-day crowd that pride themselves in finding every last secret item in GTA and what not. It's for the people that want to enjoy a good ass-whooping with some friends.

And if you think that games like Socom won't be on the Wii, you're mistaken. Instead of trying to master that stupid analog stick while searching the perfect sensitivity for hours, you just hold the controller with your hand, like a gun, and fire it at the screen. Or you whack an incoming tennis ball with the controller with a forehand and follow up with a backhand. Then you pop in madden and you're throwing the football. Throw in tekken and knock the shit out of your buddy using your fist and arms rather than your blistered fingers.

Bigger isn't always better... longer, more tedious and stressful games... while others are having fun playing the Nintendo Wii games.

Ill stick with PS3.

yeah me too.. lol.

My Bro gonna get the Wii... Im kinda excited to see how madden works with that.. you gotta throw the controller to pass it to a wide reciever... and i gotta make sure im open to catch it by not running in to the couch and shit

we just got a '52 HDTV, PS2 looks like shit on it, and madden ****ing sucks, its basically N64 Quality.

i will now be buying a PS3.

What games are u gonna buy for the PS3?

i dunno, i guess ill just get madden, thats the only game im going to play, i always have people over at my house so me and my friends just play that. i dont play video games unless its Madden or Tony Hawk, and those are usually winter games, im done with video game playing by about february. i actually want it for the DVD player as well...not just the gaming side.

Wouldn't it be smart to get the Xbox360 since there have been 2 games of Madden already out? I mean that that means that more development time. Less kinks to smooth out. More accuracy. Less glitches. All that = Better Game. Because u just know that the PS3's Madden will be full of problems. It has to. It is part of the creating process when making a game for the first time in a new console....expecially the PS3 since it is so hard to develop for.

Plus, unless ur 52" HD is actually 1080P, I don't see the reason to get the PS3 over the 360 for a game like Madden. Now, if you are going to get a game like Metal Gear Solid (Go Solid Snake Go...at the age of 64 :chuckles: ), then I can understand. In fact, I want to get the PS3 just so I can play that game.

Metal Gear=the shit.

I still play the one on PS...that shit was so much fun.

i dont like X Box, never have been a fan of it. i did some research on the TV itself, and it is 1080p, its the newest Sharp one, the one they have all those commercials for, playing anything on there with my PS2...it litterally looks like Nintendo 64 quality, i could put madden on my phone and it would probably look better. i have always been a Playstation fan, i got the PS2 when it first game out in 2000 or whenever that was. the DVD player we have now is broken, and i have used the PS2 for movies, the whole Blu-Ray technology will look amazing on here, and since we were thinkging of getting a blu ray player, which costs around $500...we figure the PS3 wouldnt be a bad idea to get.

Madden 360 is shit thus far. They left quite a bit out of both versions, and had some gameplay issues.

Metal Gear is the shit. That remake of the first one for Gamecube was hella fun.
