Game 23| 76ers @ Cavaliers| 12-12-2008| 7:30 PM (ET)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
heck no,this still is not a lost...we still have(who is the best player in the game) and mo who can go for 30? i still have confidence in this team no matter what

av may start and wright may get some mins according to MB

2 things I think will be key for them:

Getting back on defense in transitions
Stopping the drives into the paint

Slow down the game, stuff their drives, and I think we have this.

Philly seems to be quite the opposite of many teams right now. Whereas teams like the Raptors (though they do have Bosh for some offense) live and die by the 3, Philly seems to live and die by the drive.

Makes you wonder why they haven't looked around for a shooter or 2.

Nice first post Fursdon. Welcome to RCF. I think Philly is still wondering why they let Korver go for Gordan Giricek and a draft pick...

I'm not worried about who starts, its who is in the game at the end, and MB will use the first 3 quarters to see who is ready to step in to the front court. It may be Wright, it may be one of the rooks, it might be AV and Ben to close things out. A lot will depend on the score going into the 4rth quarter and you know there will be a big emphasis on building a double digit lead going into the 4rth.

As for Boobie out, Sasha has been playing better lately... let's see if he's on a roll, or just another of his "flash in the pan" performances. Would be nice to see either him or Wally get hot off the bench.

Side note... another big factor is this is the first game of a back-to-back set...again. (Seems like they've had what, 3 back-to-backs in the last 10 days? Seems like it.) Let's hope for a big lead so guys like Ben and LeBron don't have to log major minutes and be a little heavy legged for tomorrow's game.

We're gonna miss Z for this one, as up front was where we had a definite advantage over Philly last game. As long as we dont let them run like last game, I don't see this one being a problem despite the injuries. It is however, game three of a 4 in 5, with a shortened rotation, you'll expect guys to be a bit worn. If we can keep Iggy under control though and Brand continues to look like a mess this one should end well

Actually this weekend will mark our 4th back-to-back and 9 games total over the last 16 days. We win this one tonight and we are guaranteed no worse than 8-1 over that stretch. But I would get greedy if I were MB and do whatever you can to motivate the guys to win these two and enjoy three days off when it's over.

I think we'll see Batman Bron and his sidekick "Robin" Williams in heavy doses offensively over the next two nights. It will be interesting to see how our style of play shifts without 2 huge rotation guys.

I'm guessing the the Starting line-up is gonna look like this:

Mo
Redz
Wally
LBJ
Ben

Brand maybe out as well I seen him listed as day to day on espn.

i am with you chief

if I am Mke Brown, I look at LeBron and say I have cut your minutes significantly and you havent even needed to play 4th quarters lately...for these next two games I am going to have you shoulder the load and go forty plus minutes and hopefully steal 2 games without 2 of our top 6 playing

good news is we have two teams that play sorta small and we might be able to get away with not aving Z

the guy who needs to step up as well is Delonte and hopefully he gets out of his shooting slump...

That is the whole thing. Lebron can play 45 minutes if he has to. We have just not had to do that yet. We now he is going to play heavy minutes in close games, so we just have to treat this like the playoffs. Mo's minutes have been down here too. Get more of him and Sasha and no problem. On the coach Brown show he said he will probably start Andy, and have the young guys in in the 1st half, and ride the vets the 2nd.

We will be ok. I just hope the rooks keep their heads in the game.

agree...i still see victories somehow...lebron and mo are going to do good for this team

This will be a test..and the D better be turned up a notch..
BAM!!!

Can La Block yer shot snuff out Iguana early and not let him come out cocky??

I'm gonna go out on a limb here with some predictions...

I think this guy

will utter the following phrases each at least once...

"And furthermore young man, get that weak stuff outta here!"
"The L-Train throws the hamma down!"
"He got him up in the air with the bird and will go to the line for two."
"Consequently Fred..."

But sadly, we won't be hearing this tonight :(

"The big fella is the best tip drill man in the NBA!"

Can we turn this into a drinking game with the AC-isms? I got a lot of leftover beer in my house from Thanksgiving and I want to drink it tonight...

Robin Williams in a basketball jersey would look like teen wolf. :chuckles:

Go with "____ knows what time it is". You will be passed out before halftime.

p.s. I love the wacky AC-isms, although I wish he would surprise us sometime by throwing down something other than a hamma. Maybe, "He throws the whole toolbox down".

AC: "LEBRON PUTS THE BANANA(or some other random object) IN THE COFFIN!!!"
