GAME 28 | Cavs vs Rockets | Dec. 23, 2008 | 7:00 PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
O M G We're finally at the point where fans of the opposing teams blame the refs for their losses. I can remember the day I ALWAYS blamed the refs when MJ and the Bulls stomped our asses every game...

I LOVE IT!

The refs basically put yao on the bench for 3/4th of the game. What if that happened to lebron?

I don't know.

I'd be fairly pissed that LeBron was taking stupid fouls, not learning how to plant his feet for a charge.

I saw Yao get away with a few fouls as well, so stop crying. You lost this game on the court because you aren't better than us, not because the refs. Deal with it bro.

Lebron always gets called for that foul Yao gave to Wallace moving the elbos and hitting someone in the face. I think they probably should have not been so hard on Yao, but we saw Z foul out. Some of his fouls were not very good either. It was a playoff type game again like Atlanta. We were on the Atlanta side this time.

I love how Yao started with foul trouble and complained but Z actually ends up fouling out and the fans still say there was shitty reffing on OUR home court.

Lol signed up just for that, you guys got more fouls calls and Yao shot 13 free throws. 6 more than Lebron. Our center is the one who got fouled out.

When the Cavs lost to the Hawks, there were a boatload of complaints here about the refs (and a greater disparity in calls in that game). I think it's pretty typical for fans to blame the refs. Yao got unlucky on one of the calls but there were a few that weren't called. Whatever. The Rockets should have played through it.

Boy, Rockets fans are some of the poorest losers I have ever seen. I can't tell you how many off arms Artest got away with. Z even fouled out. Yao had 13 FTs. What more do they want?

At least when the Cavs lose we get mad at the Cavs themselves (for the most part). No excuses...blame McGrady, or Yao for having stupid fouls.

Who were the refs tonight? I don't remember FSO saying it.

It all goes back to their announcers. I watched the game on an internet feed with the Rockets announcers and they were horrible. Total and complete homers, but besides that they whined constantly about phantom fouls that they thought should have been called. Or when Artest shoved LeBron at the end of the game, they said "LeBron doesn't like it when guys shove him much like that, I wish the Rockets had more players like that who are tough and physical". They argued that it shouldn't have even been called a foul. The entire game the announcers made it seem like there was a conspiracy against Houston and that all the calls went against them. Fans are already inclined to believe that when they root for a good team, and their team gets outmatched. It's easy to blame the refs, and when the announcers are feeding that too, it's obvious what the results will be.

I was watching the same thing and it was driving me nuts. I'm sure when other fans listen to AC they probably want to blow their brains out.

Good game! I really wasnt too upset at my team since they competed even when they got down 14. I also see you guys have no answer for Yao when he can stay on the floor. Bron-Bron did his thing. I like how Ron was playing him though, not backing down.

Good to see Lebron finally have some help around him.

See ya when you come to the Toyota Center.

Houston made a valiant effort when down big, but no answer for Yao? Did you see LeBron's block???
