GAME 28 | Cavs vs Rockets | Dec. 23, 2008 | 7:00 PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He was agreeing with my observation about all the teams that have knocked Yao out of the playoffs, or at least he was echoing it.

Well, I must just echo my response to that then. McGrady is a loser.

I guess whiny Rockets fans and announcers get it from their whiny coach. This is from the AP report on the game.

Rockets coach Rick Adelman wasn't pleased with some of the calls against Yao.

"He got a couple where they said he hit people. All I know is they took him right out of the game," Adelman said.

He also was miffed about the foul disparity in the third quarter when Cleveland was not called for a foul.
"I know it probably happens, but it's pretty amazing a team can go the whole third quarter and never get a foul called," he said. "No hand check, no body, I mean 12 minutes? They are awfully good."

That kind of sarcasm is usually reserved for Phil Jackson in the playoffs.

No offense meant to the classy posts of tmac1yao11. And of course this is what the AP writer decided to print when Adelman probably answered 5-6 questions.

I think everyone, even the Houston fan, can agree on that. Any NBA player who looks like they just woke up from a weed-induced nap ain't gonna win shit.

Sometimes even I have to question his heart sometimes but I try to give him the doubt. He was upsetting me tonight because he did look lethargic. If he is still hurt I just want him to sit for however it takes for him to get right so that he will be ok for the playoffs. I have never questioned his performance in the playoffs even though he has never gotten out of the first round. He really does bring it for the playoffs. I believe if he could sit out the regular season he would. If he had just had half the moxy that Kobe has he probably would have a championship already.

With all that said I still dont think we could get any value in trading him. We will just have to ride him until he breaks down completely.

Didn't every doctor that checked him out say that he needs to play to get better?

Yup, that is why I question his heart sometimes. I think it is mental with him too. For some reason he doesnt have the "hops" he used to have and I think that is messing with him. Doesnt seem like he has that hunger and desire either but this is what we go through every year about this time and unfortunately for the last 2 years it has taken a Yao injury for Tmac to take his game back to the level of superstar.

All right guys again good win and see you in Feb on TNT. Tmac loves the bright lights so maybe that will motivate him. :)

Last note: This was only the 2nd road loss sinc Jan 7, 2008 to an Eastern Conference team. We had a nice streak going.l

I think there were 2 alternate possibilities to what happened to Yao tonight.

1. He would have gotten those fouls anyway in more time and would not have come in fresh and destroyed the 4th. He really made us pay with those free throws.

2. He would have been worried about fouls the whole time, and Lebron would have gone past him like he ended up doing. We played that game hard, both sides, and it was bound to be a high fouling game. They would not call all that stuff in the playoffs, but that is what happened to us in ATL. Hafta take your medicine sometimes.

I don't know why they put in all their 3 pt shooters and stayed with it even in the last 3 minutes when they went cold. Their most effective lineup in my mind, was to post Yao up, but then have Scola on the near perimeter ready to move in quick for a dunk when Yao got doubled. That was a really tough matchup for us and Scola was hot from the field.

Was Tmac even out there in the second half? I seriously forgot all about him. Outside of a turnaround over one of our small guards in the first half...did he do anything? As for Artest, the NBA should require a tranquilizer gun and a strait jacket for any game he plays in.

Did you try to record the HD broadcast? Cause FSN screwed it up again. When they don't send the feed right away, it makes DVRs go haywire.

The SD broadcast worked. It looked like balls, but it worked.
