Time for a bump in this thread to examine those far too many Damian Jones supporters. At least, JBB has this jewel of an acquisition rightfully placed in the hierarchy.

I didn't know much about this guy and I was hopeful that he could play but he absolutely sucks. He has no place on an NBA basketball court or roster.

Cut this guy loose and replace him with just about anybody else.

He is going to keep a seat warm for Isaiah Mobley, who is still working on his outside shot in the G League. Isaiah just isn't an NBA player until that stroke becomes league average for a big.

He cost nothing in return, much like Tristan who replaced him in the rotation. He only cost the trade exemption which would have otherwise expired.

If the Cavs gave up anything, I'd me more annoyed.

Damian played some solid minutes when we were short-handed. Much better results than earlier in the season.

As much as we drag on him because we were expecting him to be the backup C, seeing him in game and being positive should be celebrated. Keep up the work Damian.

Last two comments nailed it. He’s not a center. He looked pretty comfortable guarding Derozan on the perimeter. He lacks the physicality to matchup up with centers and probably most conventional power forwards.

That's what I was thinking. He seemed more of a Dean Wade-type player than a center on this team

He is the "Cedi" of bigs, and JBB plays him in rotations accordingly.

That being said, I do enjoy that he knows his role on offense (will go into hub mode, screen otherwise). He gets a few blocks here and there. Just need him to secure those rebounds better.
