Indians Trade Deadline Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
what in the world...

Is Masterson that bad?

Joe Kelly and Allen Craig for Lackey?

Wow.

Takes a lot for me to be shocked at this point.

This was jaw dropping, Allen Craig is a great addition for them.

Wonderful news. I was all over the Cabby bandwagon when it started rolling, but I think a change of scenery will help him jolt himself back to caring.

If he doesn't care about a clubhouse that felt like they lost a brother and put their socks up to salute him, then I'm not sure if he has a caring attitude. I still say trade him for something because Lindor is on his way. It'll be a waste to keep him.

I've never once gotten the impression that Cabrera doesn't care.

If anything, he's shown more emotion on the field than most. Granted, most of that has been frustration, but I think it's lazy to say the guy doesn't care.

He's busted his ass since 2007 for the club, I'll be sad to see him go but the move definitely needs to be made.

Meh, I'll defer to you on this, but I didn't see it. Off & on weight issues, decrease in speed, decrease in defensive ability all made it look (to me) like he was lethargic.

But, I like argument for arguments sake sometimes, so pick that statement apart and we'll be in touch. :chuckles:

Wonder if Asdrubal can get us a teams 2nd best prospect.

Imagine if we trade him to the team we are currently playing. The game tonight would be incredible. :chuckles:

It would be funny if we saw Asdrubal tonight as a Mariner.

Yeah agreed 100%. Never knocked the guy for not hustling or caring, I just knock him because, more often than not, he has been frustratingly dog shit the last 2.5ish years.

The 1-out bases loaded GIDP on the first pitch in the Wild Card game still haunts me.

When were his weight issues ever "off?"

Dude got older, heavier, slower.

Miguel Cabrera used to be a shortstop, too. This has always been a growing trend with players, especially from Latin America (dietary change in the US).

I don't take it as a sign he (or others) don't care.

Looks like Andrew Miller is going(back) to Detroit per Rosenthal on MLB Network.

This is why I defer. I don't think about that. And I was trying to be lenient about the weight..

Unfortunately for Cabby, his hitting prowess didn't improve with the (apparently) inevitable weight flux.
