Unfortunately for Cabby, his hitting prowess didn't improve with the (apparently) inevitable weight flux.

His hitting prowess did improve, in fact it plateaued in 2011 and 2012 when he was an All-Star (amazing accolades without caring). Unfortunately, it's been all downhill since then.

Folks are assuming the Tigers are not including anyone on the bigleague roster. Would assume that Castellanos could be part of the deal. OR even better, what if the centerpiece of the deal is JD Martinez?

And are folks forgetting that Justin Verlander's extension hasn't kicked in yet and he has turned into a pretty bad starter? Ks and velocity both down and he has a 4.79 ERA? It is obviously big for the Tigers to get a stud pitcher like that but the Tigers' best starter has gone Masterson on them and their 2nd best guy is walking at the end of the year. Spare me the sword please.

That doesn't make much sense. Porcello is a free agent the same time Price is.
