What are people seeing in Austin Daye? this guy can't defend at all.
IMO, the only reason he gets a spot is desperation for size until Tristan is signed.

It is meaningless size, though. Guy can't guard anyone close to a forward and he can't rebound.IMO, the only reason he gets a spot is desperation for size until Tristan is signed.

No, no, no. Let's not lose sight of how meaningless the second half of a preseason game really is. Cunningham should make the roster, but he is lighting up the opponent's second and third team. JR Smith has proven he can be a 6th man of the year candidate who has learned to play within the team concept with LeBron. I understand the Cunningham excitement, but temper it.
We got to the Finals carrying Brendan Hayward's useless corpse. Now that is a "In emergencies, break glass" big man. Daye can buy you 10 minutes if James Jones is wheezing on his hands and knees.
Haha...it did read that way.Oops I was talking about Harris. LOL talk about getting no slack. 10 years on the site and people really think I want to dump JR Smith for Cunningham
Back to Earth today for hammy.

Don't they need an actual big until Tristan decides to return? I don't consider Austin Daye to be even a combo forward let alone a legitimate PF.
100+ players will be cut before the regular season begins, and surely the Cavs will look at one of them to plug the hole. Tarik Black is on a non-guaranteed deal with the Lakers and would be close to ideal if he is cut. He's apparently got to beat out Robert Sacre (who is guaranteed) and Robert Upshaw.

The LA Times seems to think Sacre will be cut despite his guaranteed salary, so we'll see.
You mean Cunny.
It is crazy to say that Cunningham is better than Smith at this point. Smith is a proven 3-point assassin, one of the best catch and shoot guys in the league. Cunningham has proven nothing. I mean, I want him on the roster too, but let's at least wait till he plays a regular season game before annointing him as a star!
