Saying you're excited to pair Shanahan with Manziel because he had success with RGIII is like saying you're excited to pair Mike Brown with Tyler Zeller because he had success with LeBron.
Nothing about what I just said makes sense and neither does Manziel in an NFL offense.
It's really so silly.
I've said alot about this organization, but Manziel seems like the antithesis of their draft strategy.

With all the smoke that's out there about us and Manziel, I can't figure out whether Lombardi is a manipulative genius doing this on purpose or a bumbling idiot who can't plug a leak in his FO.
Either way, I'm hoping the Rams trade down and let someone take Manziel ahead of us just in case. If that happened, the tears from our radio personalities would be absolutely delicious.
Those radio stations should be burned to the ground already, I feel bad for the native Clevelanders that put up with them.
I have little doubt these reports of the Browns being tied to Manziel are mostly fabricated.
If you ask Lombardi or any other organizational source their thoughts on Manziel, the reactions are going to be overwhelmingly positive.
The typical, "Oh he's so exciting and we love to watch him play" is the stock answer throughout the league because nobody in their right mind is going to go out of their way to put a kid down at this point in the process.
It's just the way the game is played.
I wouldn't be surprised if Manziel tumbles down draft boards because A) Every team wants you to think they're high on him and B) Because he has very obvious weaknesses in his game which are obvious to any personnel department.
I've maintained all along that he's a third round pick with top five hype. Nothing seems to be changing that distinction, certainly not the hype.
My main concern is we are drafting a young QB this year that may or may not start but do we really want a guy in his lower 30's to be handling our quarterback after displays of immaturity and multiple reports that he and RG3 had no relationship whatsoever in Washington?
Scary, scary hire.
