Glad to see your enjoying a systematic walk down memory lane.
sometimes someone has to fail to succeed. johnny's giving himself a chance to do so
The Browns seem to be giving just the tip of a let down here for all those fans that want them to move up for Mariota.
He's our QB, boys.
Improve his trade value?Perfect time for these type of articles.
I mean it could improve his trade value a bit, but also it could show that we might stick with him and not trade up. Now everyone is talking about drafting a RB in the first now.Improve his trade value?
None of what you just said refutes anything in my post.
Are we discussing Manziel or Dion? Some of the excuses seem remarkably similar....
Manziel has nobody to blame for last year but himself. If he fixes it, great. If not, in the words of Steven Tyler "Nobody's fault but mine".
It's only been (insert arbitrary time frame here), his new work ethic and commitment to not getting shitfaced on weekends will turn him into the player we all thought he could be.....
.....Which is a weak armed risk-taker with little idea how to run an offense competently or the ability to stay consistent mechanically.
Brandon Weeden looks like a dream scenario compared to Johnny.
My favorite part of the 2015 pre-draft evals are all of the people who were pro-Manziel last year, citing all of the reasons against guys like Mariota and the rest of the non-Winston QB prospects.
I mean you literally campaigned to draft one of the worst first round QB prospects in the last 20 years, but guys like Chuck Booms claim they will kill themselves if we draft Mariota (add that to the Pros column for Mariota).
2014 pro-Manziel media/fans alike - your credibility is infinitely languished. So please stop.
This isn't to say Mariota will be a surefire pick but when compared side-by-side with Manziel... Sheesh, the two prospects aren't even on the same planet.
Brandon Weeden looks like a dream scenario compared to Johnny.
I'll listen to the argument that Johnny doesn't have the technique to win from the pocket.
But I'll never concede that he has a weak arm. That's just not true. His arm is, at worst, average.
His commitment is refreshing, but ultimately, I don't know if it matters at all.
