15th in the NBA, a -0.1 Rebounding differential. So about as average as average gets.

Defensive rebounding specifically, we are a +1.3. Which is still pretty much average.

This is another area of LeBron's game that "chill mode" totally obliterates. His defensive rebounding is incredible in the postseason.

"K-Love, if you're listening, help!"

Look at the impact Love's defensive rebounding makes on defense.

1466 minutes on court: Cavs' DRtg: 106.3
1530 minutes off court: Cavs' DRtg: 113.5

We go from "not good" to "god awful."

It kind of feels good to realize that the Cavs miss Kevin Love. In the past, I'd know we'd be at a disadvantage sans LBJ and Kyrie on any given night but Love missing a game here and there never really felt like that much of a loss.

But, to his credit this season, his presence is missing from the Cavs' offense and - dare I say it - even on the defensive end. Love had spells of elite inside and outside defense during the course of this season and showed flashes of promise towards a consistent 'Game 7 VS Curry' defensive level of effort.

His presence on the glass is costing the team and forcing Tristan to carry a far greater load - that is, setting the box out and grabbing the board without much help. They're also missing that inside/outside floor stretching big man when running dribble penetration sets.

I'm sure it's going to be monumentally refreshing when he's back on the court again.

But I was just told 2 weeks ago that Kevin Love didn't make an impact on this team because we were no worse rebounding, and better offensively :chuckle:

Love joining broadcast tonight in the 2nd quarter.

Working his "Most Interesting Man In The World" turtleneck game tonight.

Sounds very upbeat.

Did Love comment on when approximately he'll be back?
