You naysayers are going to be eating your words when this team clicks. Hopefully you guys quit posting when it's fun around here again.

"a Lebron James team is never desperate"

Remember those awesome numbers Jamison put up on the Wizards before trading to the Cavs,

You hit the nail on the head.

I hadn't thought about it, but Love really is nothing more than a rich man's Jamison. Good offensive numbers with absolutely no defense all while being beyond tissue paper soft.

Only difference is we weren't foaming at the mouth to give Jamison a 9 figure extension to be a 1 way player and 3rd option on offense.

LOL at comparing the 36 year old Antawn Jamison we acquired with 30 games left in 201 to Love.

And of course you love the comparison because it fits your narrative antecdotally.

Meanwhile, Love is 11 years younger, a better defender, a far better rebounder, a better 3 pt shooter, and better in the low post than prime Jamison.

Ridiculous to homers yes but what doesnt make sense? Both players put up great numbers on different teams. The point still stands.

No it doesn't because the advanced stats are so far in favor of Love that it's insulting to compare him with those two. There's just no comparison at all. What Love did last year was as the number one option was historical.

Love's win share per 48: .245
Hughes's highest: .157

Loves's PER: 26.9
Hughes's highest: 21.6

Loves' true shooting: 59.1% (measure of efficiency)
Hughes's highest: 52.3%

And Hughes's numbers aren't even in the same year. A few posts above, I posted how many times Love's numbers as the number one option on high usage had been achieved 21 times by the greatest of players in the past 30 years while Hughes's numbers have been done 630 times.

He is better than Jamison, but the tone was the same as this. Everyone was excited about him, then confused, sure he was gonna "show up", then the nicknames and realization his game was a net 0 or worse with the gaping hole he left in out defense.

I love Mozgov, but Love has got to step up and be physical.

I think we should trade him before the league sees what we are seeing now.

Comparing Love to Jamison?

Man, you must of hit the panic button then.

Yeah man you make a lot of sense, lets just trade him for pokemon cards, considering any team that trades for Love will lowball us like never before with the thought of him bolting.

We are now moving into the direction of trading Love basically for nothing because he is a rental. Stay classy Cleveland.

The beginning of this thread and end of it sums up what Cleveland truly is, fairweather, bandwagon jumping, undeserving asshats.

Trade Love, Love is Jamison, Hughes, etc. You people make me sick. Time to go on my own vacation or at least until the ship is right. This is CavFanatic 2.0

I'd rather have Donyell Marshall

All fans are the same, nationwide.

They're just people in different cities.

And that's the greatest thing about the new composition of the team that I don't think many folks are thinking about.

The Cavs are very young at the core and we will be in the playoffs for the next several years. Kyrie, Love, Shumpert, TT, and Harris are a great young core going forward.

On top of that you have Lebron, Mozgov, and JR in the mid-range of their careers, and several veterans that have playoff experience in Marion, Miller, and AV that will help at the end of each of the next few years.

Several good years to come -- day and night versus where we were just 6 months ago!
