Yeah man you make a lot of sense, lets just trade him for pokemon cards, considering any team that trades for Love will lowball us like never before with the thought of him bolting.

We are now moving into the direction of trading Love basically for nothing because he is a rental. Stay classy Cleveland.

The beginning of this thread and end of it sums up what Cleveland truly is, fairweather, bandwagon jumping, undeserving asshats.

Trade Love, Love is Jamison, Hughes, etc. You people make me sick. Time to go on my own vacation or at least until the ship is right. This is CavFanatic 2.0

Listen, I have been here the same amount of time as you have. I missed maybe 5 games since Lebron Left. We died last year. It was a year so full of hope and we all just died watching everything that could go wrong go wrong. We gnashed our teeth and lamented the poor decisions of the organization.

Then a bright light shined in and we won the #1 overall pick. We all bemoaned the previous #1 because it was probably the worst year to have the number one in recent memory. No one has been really good in the top 5, and the top 10 has got to be one of the worst top tens ever. The best move would have been to draft Giannis, which was much more unlikely than the wtf Bennett pick.

God's light shined on Cleveland and these guys turn around and the "fair weather" organization looks their gift horse in the mouth and trades 2 #1 overall picks and perhaps our most valuable pick to Minnesota. Anyone think we over payed yet? I said so at the time.

He has brought rebounding(now we are like 23rd in rebounding when we were top 12 last year) and scoring. No one seems to be able to explain how the best rebounder in the game is not really helping us rebound better, but I continue to ask.

Is he a top 5 player? A top 5 player demands the ball in crunch time and defends his ass off. I can think of 15 players I would rather have than Love. I'd trade him back to Minnesota in a heartbeat for Wiggins and end up losing both ways.

Do you think he is worth a max contract? I like stats and all. He is playing real good right now according to the stats, but watching him makes my eyes bleed. My gf was watching the game with me, and said, "Why is he such a bitch baby". He is embarrassing out there.

I don't mind at all.

A LOT of us had concerns about pairing him and Kyrie and how that would end up defensively. I have not seen anything to convince me otherwise. I am super glad we got Mozgov, but I don't know if he can make up for Kevin's lack of toughness.

You know his team underachieved mightily last year according to advanced metrics? They lost a weird amount of games in the fourth and he seems anything but clutch. He can be shut down very easily and he is gonna get smacked in the playoffs.

Call me fair weather if you want, but you won't see me complaining about our backup point guard or TT. These guys are not great, but they aren't supposed to be. It makes my blood boil when he fouls a guy with his hands down giving up the basket and the and 1. He has got to toughen up or we won't win a thing.

You guys are right... Why is Love even in the NBA? What can this guy do on the court to help people win? All he does is put up empty stats... Doesn't help teams win.

I offered this for Tyler Zeller and I suppose I should offer it to Kevin Love as well.

Locked in a room with me for 72 hours. I won't need all 72 hours, but better safe than sorry.

I'll teach Kevin how to be tough. I'll teach him real good.

Hmmm. I've got the strangest boner right now....

Will he be able to walk after that? :runaway:

Of course. There will be no gay sexy time. Kevin's not my type. He's too GQ for me.

I will teach him how to be a defender. I will teach him how to develop the nasty. I'll turn him mean.

Are you going to put him in a cage and poke him with a stick?

I just thought it was stupid of you to say trade Love. Best case scenario is not trading him. I do understand everyone's frustrations but trading him wouldn't solve a damn thing considering what we gave up, it'll just bring more anger to these boards if anthing.

Not everyone who likes Love or is defending Love has ever said he was a top 5 player in the league. Obviously, as the #1 option on a team, he can put up stats that make that argument, but there is more than that to being a top 5 or 10 player.

But hold on, before you think that is a slam against Love, why should his worth or value be measured on whether he is top 5 or even top 10 in the league?

In any given year, their are between 20-30 MAX contracts in the league. Love currently is only the 21st paid player in the league. Not the 5th. Not the 10th.

So please stop making arguments about needing to be a top 5 or 10 player to be worth the contract he currently has and will receive.

Neither Kyrie, nor Love are franchise players who can drag their teams to playoffs. But as second or third option, they would be mint. Once LeBron gets it going, Kyrie and Love are exactly the kind of players who would complement his game as both could score inside as well as outside which would be vital since unlike those two, LeBron would get double teamed on occasions which could leave one of them free and both are pretty effecient scorers.

I am not saying Love has been great till now. He hasn't, by his standards but he hasn't been rubbish either. There are some aspects of his game, especially his defensive effort which could and needs to improve a lot but he is still a good player. Many are pissed about trading Wiggins for Love. I like Wiggins but he is still a rookie. You never know how that would have panned out. And, all those who are wanking about Wiggins now, isn't he also putting up empty stats on the worst team in the East? Yes, the Wolves have had more injuries but no matter how talented Wiggins is, Love is easily a better and more accomplished player. When you get a chance to trade one of the best players in his position for a rookie, its a no brainer for me. Also, I don't think Wiggins would have developed as well as he has with the Wolves. With the Cavs, he would have had plenty of pressure to deliver since the team is looking to win immediately. With the Wolves, there is hardly any pressure and he can take as much time to develop and there would be no focus on him because the Wolves don't have any expectations in the next one or two seasons. The development aspect is very underrated in this trade. Wiggins could afford a stretch of bad games with the Wolves. Here, he would have been castrated as the next Kwame Brown.

Have faith. Love will turn out to be a very good player.

Prince Oberyn,

I counsel you to follow another course. It is far more fashionable at present to panic.

Try it out a bit if you'd like. Go ahead, say "Rebound thief" and "Antwan Jamison." You might like it.

I think trading Love is totally out of the question. We got him onboard for the long haul. What we need to know is why his performance has slacked - Is it health, chemistry, usage issues ? For all you know we might be over-analyzing the symptom and not the problem.

There seem to be a lot of Game Of Thrones characters in the RealCavsFans Forum? Is Winter coming?

Since Love himself has the option of leaving the team at season end for no compensation, thereby putting the James project at risk, it would be malpractice if Griffin does not assess trade options prior to the deadline.

It should also be noted that should Love opt out and go elsewhere, this scenario bears the possibility of creating one of the worst trades in the history of the NBA: 'Stepien' level.

The viability of offers received by the team prior to the trade deadline should determine the possibility of trading Love, not the feelings of fans of the team.
