The only time I wouldn't do the trade as it stood would be the one time out of 100 that you could get Flip drunk and work the trade without Wiggins in it
I think everyone would have preferred that, but in the end that was the only way the deal was going to get done. In no way, shape, or form should an unproven rookie be the deal breaker when trying to acquire an All-Star PF who is widely regarded as the best in the league at his position and one of the best players in the league overall.
(Not saying that this is your position at all, obviously, just quoting your post to build upon. )
