kyrie looks like he's getting back to his old shooting form..
Prediction: Kyrie will be widely seen as the best point guard in the NBA after this season.
By the way, I was watching some of that scrimmage, the one George Paul got hurt in. You can't tell me he doesn't have it in him to be a pretty good defender. I saw him harassing Curry, and doing a good job. It's just effort with Kyrie, and clearly he's not wanted to really play defense thus far.
I think if he wins a title, and guys like Paul and Curry still have a goose egg, then perception changes fast.Hm, don't really believe he'll be the best point guard after next season, but Top 3 (behind Paul/Curry) would be HUGE!

I've always maintain Kyrie is every bit as talented as those two, he's just not won anything at all, so he can't be considered in their class. And he has the reputation of not always bringing it. If he can shake those two things, he very well could be seen as the best. Definitely among the best.
And I don't wanne argue that at all. Kyrie has unreal potential and such a polished offensive all around game...
But: Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Paul and Curry are the best of the best. And what makes you one of the best? Key elements like leadership, consistency and effort on offense AND defense.
Kyrie hasn't really shown all of this on a nightly basis - that's why he is very, very good, but not ELITE yet, imo.
So I'm not saying he can't become the best point guard in the NBA. I believe he'll be the best point guard one day.
But it takes time. And if Kyrie will be regarded as a Top 3 guard after next season, that would be a huge success for him!
Kyrie starting, as he should be
