Re: Manny Harris to be signed again (Kapono to be waived)

How about playing Manny the rest of the way?

buyout Parker...

Seriously does this guy even have an value ? Despite being an expiring he has not been mentioned in anything.

He just rotting away on the team.

Re: Manny Harris to be signed again (Kapono to be waived)

thank you Dan Gilbert. Kapono is trash who never even had a prime to be passed. at least Manny is young and has some upside.

at least now there will be something interesting to watch for this season - watching a young Manny develop is much more intriguing than watching Kapono's old ass jack up 3's until his back gives out.

Re: Manny Harris to be signed again (Kapono to be waived)

lol at people thinking this means Manny will play now

Re: Manny Harris to be signed again (Kapono to be waived)

Lol at people for thinking manny is better than kapono ever was. Kapono was a one trick pony and manny is/was/ever will be a 0 trick pony.

Re: Manny Harris to be signed again (Kapono to be waived)

Kapono has no upside, Manny potentially does. What is wrong with taking a chance on Manny vs keeping a guy who the lakers gave away to save $1 million at a time they're trying to make a championship run? Manny did okay for us last year, not great, just okay, but he's also shown much improved shooting this year in the D-League. Sure, it's the D-League, but foul shooting isn't going to be different in the D-League and his improved shooting shows up there too. After seeing how much Gee improved in the offseason and realizing the the main reason Manny hasn't been with the team all year is his off season injury, dumping Kapono to bring Manny back is a low risk, potentially high reward type move. Why would any cavs fan laugh at that? The absolute worst thing that could happen is Manny isn't worth keeping and so he's off the roster at the end of the year.

Just moving Sessions has freed up a spot in the rotation for someone to fill for 10 to 15 minutes/night. Even if we don't sit parker, his back may flare up, freeing up another stretch of playing time. Sometime this year Manny will get his chance to prove himself.

exactly. who wouldn't want a 22-year-old Manny Harris over a 31-year-old Jason Kapono? Keeping Kapono would be pointless. At least Manny has the POTENTIAL to have some value in the FUTURE. Kapono, on the other hand, has no potential for value in the future. seems like a no-brainer to keep Manny. sure, it's uncertain that Manny will develop into anything, but what is certain is that Jason Kapono wasn't going to help the Cavs at all going forward. better to take a chance on an unproven young guy than to keep an old guy who is proven trash.

With Sessions gone and Parker being old as hell, there is bound to be some time available for Manny at SG.

Re: Manny Harris to be signed again (Kapono to be waived)

I guess i'll have to put my kapono jersey back in the garage

buyout Parker...

Parker's greatest value is what he does off the floor. He's one of the classiest guys in the league and easily the best roll model we have....a true professional. Parker has seen it all over the years, so he plays a very valuable roll on this team. Buying him out would be idiotic. He'd be a tremendous addition to the front office when he's done.

If the Cavs would sign me, I'd be classy as hell...

Must be nice...

After hearing and seeing many of his interviews, I wouldn't mind seeing Parker join the broadcast team. I know I'm in the minority but I've grown tired of the catch phrases and master of the obvious statements that we currently get instead of any type of actual professional and intelligent analysis.
