MLB - Trade Rumors and Speculation

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Nice to see everyone completing trades except us.

I mean fuck almighty, even if it's a selling trade, just fucking trade someone. Let us know you're still alive Antonetti.

Chicago and Detroit make moves to get better.

Indians...just keep losing games.

I think the Tribe may just be biding its time to strike though.

They better be... If they do not I hope shows fans how little they care about winning. This team a team borderline level contender and they get Kotchman as the biggest move all year?? Even If they sell it would set up a better situation at least Choo for gods sake. So again I hope to dear god you are right.

Enough about "caring about winning"

Jesus...

They should stand pat if they don't add anything....we get it...you're bored.

No action is not the worst thing ever...

Stand pat and lose Choo in the offseason for nothing?

How does trading Choo, who is signed through 2013, show they care about winning?

Pyro spends at minimum 8 hours a day on this board and he didn't know Choo was signed through next season.

I mean...come on.

Francisco Liriano is 3-12 with a 5.31 ERA and is eligible for free agency at year's end...just saying.

He's signed through 2013...

If we're going to trade him, I'd rather just do it now than wait until we're desperate to deal him next year at the deadline. He's having a very good year and with a year left on his current contract he's more valuable. Realistically, are we even going to re-sign Choo? He's going to be 31 by the end of his current contract and he's going to ask for a pretty good size deal. I'd rather save that money to extend some other guys and possibly add something in a trade. Choo could get us something really good if we moved him this year. If the club has no plans in extending him, I really don't see a reason why we shouldn't try and get something good while we can.

This is what I get for listening to that neanderthal Dennis Mannaloff.

Hoping to win next year.

My top targets:

James Shields - Shields is signed through 2014, so he wouldn't be a rental. He'd be a nice addition to the rotation moving forward.

Jason Vargas - Vargas is signed through 2013 and has been an underrated SP in Seattle. He'd also add a LHP to our rotation.

Alfonso Soriano - Only if the Cubs eat the majority of his remaining contract and settle for a B-Level prospect. Soriano could play LF this season then slide to being a low-cost DH through 2014. Jason Stark is the latest to report "the Cubs are offering to absorb all but $2MM of Soriano’s contract and that they "might take it all on for the right prospect."

That dude's a moron...so are Assenheimer, Ruiter, Roda, and Fedor. I only value three "local" opinions when it comes to the Indians: Bastian, Castrovince, and Lastoria.

They should trade Choo because this team, which in all likelihood is going to look the same next year aside from Carrasco returning from injury, is not good enough to win the division or a wild card spot. He's a more valuable trade piece if a team is getting him for all of next year as well.

The Indians are going to have to learn from their mistakes and go all out this offseason. No way do they deal anyone who is a current core player. The window goes through 2014 and then another rebuild is likely.
