MLB - Trade Rumors and Speculation

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just asked Knobler from CBS Sports about our chances to get Shields or any pitcher along with a bat and he replied

I haven't seen Fedroff play in a year and a half, it sounds like he's gotten a lot better.

I sat here for a bit and tried to come up with a good comp but was unsuccessful. The one who comes to mind (although TFed has less raw power) was Jacque Jones. Very smooth stroke and a natural hitter with good instincts.

He's got a little Jason Kipnis to his game, grind it out and a solidly unspectacular defender in the outfield.

I think he'll make a nice impact, but may never be an everyday starter. He would be alot better served as a young player in a platoon role, but the Indians being so left-dominant it would be tough to fit him in.

We'll see how the team shakes out next year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him break camp with the Indians.

Sounds like they want big league ready talent in return.

Tim Fedroff, one of the Triple-A pitchers, Gio Soto, Chun Chen...something like that maybe.

Got to think the Indians extra draft pick is in play as well.

I'd pull the trigger. Signed through 2014, which is our window.

Trade the vets. Haven't helped the team. Damon, Duncan, Lopez, Lowe can all go.
Might as well deal Perez and Choo. Dolan won't pay them.

Call up Kluber, Fedroff, LaPorta, and Phelps.

Pestano to closer. Smith and Allen setup.

Yeah, we're officially sellers......I hate how we start off so well to get everyone's hopes off only to be crushed

They aren't selling...

Jesus Christ people...

Yeah, the Indians aren't selling. They'll either make a deal for a player signed beyond this season or stand pat. I have a gut feeling they make a deal before Tuesday.

Right Perez will be gone in a deal.

I see no reason as to why trading Perez makes sense unless they are acquiring a major league prospect in return.

Headley seems like the most realistic deal and makes the most sense he fills two potential holes and is cheap and under team control. I guess you pull the trigger on him and hope your rotation is more consistent next year with the addition of carassco and hopefully another acquisition.

Again no reason to trade for Chase when Lonnie is under control for more years and projects to have similar or better numbers. Team should be focused on trading Choo and Perez for a right handed RFer or 1st baseman. Pitching would also be suitable.

The Indians shouldn't make a trade to make a trade. They have to think about the next two years now. Move the pieces now to set that up.

Brantley CF
Cabrera SS
Kipnis 2nd
Santana C
Lonnie 3rd
Trade RF
Trade 1st
Internal/ free agent DH

Nice to see everyone completing trades except us.

I mean fuck almighty, even if it's a selling trade, just fucking trade someone. Let us know you're still alive Antonetti.
