Walker expected to miss another 5 weeks so Williams is not a likely target anymore. No Farmar either...

Is it safe to say Nelson or bust for a backup PG at this point? I know he has seen his fair share of injuries this season...

Im in charlotte, at least i get to see mo but damm you jordan mo is our perfect backup pg.

Am I the only one who thinks Delly is actually a suitable backup PG? I don't understand why this is such a "pressing" need. I wanted Mo for the nostalgia factor but I'm not really feeling the need to just go out and get another PG for the sake for having another backup.

If we need anything it's a backup center to spell Mozgov.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I think it's more about procuring some depth in case of a Kyrie Irving injury than because they don't like Delly. I think the issue is that they like Delly for about 20 minutes a game, not the 30+ he's going to be playing if Irving were to get hurt.

We need a PG that can run the second unit--a Darren Collison type. Dellavedova has difficulties doing that. It leads to disastrous fourth quarters like the one against the Clippers.

Delly runs the offense very officiently, but he does it from a more half court shooting guard type of position, like Anthony Parker used to. Without Dion, some ball handling and explosiveness with scoring would pair well with Delly and the bench as constructed.

As critical as I am of Delly -- and I think he is way too weak to be an 8th man on a championship team -- I don't see anyone available that is much better. I think Gary Neal or Nelson could work, but to be honest, the little I've seen of both of them this year is pretty underwhelming. I just would rather not sign/trade for a guy who is no better than Delly. If that's the case I'd rather grab a backup center.

Can we still ink Emilio Estevez as assistant coach to the associate head coach?
