Curry. He's the best player at his position in the league. He's the best player on the best team in the league. And, statistically, he's been every bit as good as Harden and better than LeBron.

Maybe he was in the first half of the season? But I don't think so anymore.

What Westbrook is doing, I think, has to make him the best player at his position.

If he keeps this level of production up, and OKC makes it into the playoffs solely because of him, then I'd change my vote to Westbrook.

If we are going to give it to the guy who has had the best statistical season, then it should be Davis, not LeBron.

Interesting point of view... Dunno if I would solely rely on statistical production though. And I also don't think from my own research that this is actually true (Davis being statistically better than LBJ, Curry or Harden), but I could be mistaken.

I think LeBron should be the MVP because he is the best player on the list of players applicable, IMHO.

I don't think anyone can reasonably say that Steph Curry is better at basketball than LeBron James..? And as far as having a better season? I guess so, because his team has won more games; but I don't think that makes him more "valuable" than LeBron. Not to his team, or any other team.

Well I don't rely solely on statistical production and really, no voter has either. It never goes to a guy on a fringe playoff team. Ever. So even though people preach about how it should be an individual award, there is always some factoring in of team success.

As for Curry and Westbrook, Curry is an entire tier ahead of Westbrook in terms of efficiency. And for all of Westbrook's assist numbers, he's racking up a huge amount of TOs as well.

Also, the other thing working in Curry and Harden's favor is games played. They've misssed a lot fewer games this year than Westbrook and LeBron. Actually playing should count for something.

But it's a subjective award. I'm not gonna complain if any of the five guys listed win it. I think a case can be made for all of them. This won't be like 2009-2010 when Rose was given the award despite the fact that LeBron was very clearly the best player in the league that season.

The Brow is 3 assists and a block away from a quadruple double… If his team makes the playoffs, he should get serious consideration.

Cavs are the best team in the league, Golden State just has the best record.

We are the best team in the league because of LeBron and the trades we made to fill out the roster. Since all of that was put in place we've clearly been the best team in the league.

I guess let me know when they start giving out awards for 40 game segments.

I think you have to give the Dubs a little more credit. When Bogut is healthy, they're 43-7 (.86 winning percentage). We're 23-4 (.85) since the trades when Lebron plays. It's close.

I think it's obvious, however, that the Cavs, Hawks, and Warriors are the 3 clear best teams in the league.

This might be the most bias poll in the history of the Internet.

I voted LBJ (obviously), but my choice comes down to this:

- Hated Curry's complaining and crying RE: hoping "this doesn't affect the MVP voting" after the Warriors lost to the Cavs so he's out of the running.

- Russ takes 73 shots a game and OKC aren't making any waves (although credit where credit is due, his numbers have been spectacular in the last month) so scratch him out.

- The Brow is doing wonders and will absolutely win an MVP in the near future, but I don't like his chances this season VS some stiff competition while keeping in mind the voting criteria. Still think he has a couple of dues to pay before being considered the most elite player in the season.

- And James Harden is, well, James Harden. The flopping and manufactured individualist who must've been David Stern and Adam Silver's love child. While he doesn't get my vote, I think he's most likely to win it given his performances/numbers and his impact on Houston's collective record.

I didn't say LeBron would win MVP. He is the most valuable player in the league, though and the cavs are the best team in the league now because of that. Voters won't factor in the process it took to transform us from a lottery team to the best team in the league. LeBron is the primary reason that process went as absurdly quickly as it did. It should have taken a couple of full seasons to make the transformation we made.

Harden is such s flopping bitch

Without Bron, Cavs have the worst winning percentage in the league. With him since his return from hiatus, Cavs have the best winning percentage. I'd like to hear a definition of "valuable" that counters that.

Because it's silly to cut out portions of the season like this when giving a season long award. Why exactly start counting from there? And why does only LeBRon get the benefit of just zeroing out his poorest stretch of the season like this?

Ugh Harden scored 50 against theNuggets tonight.... 22 points from free throws, more than the entire Nuggets team took. Really don't want to see him get MVP.
