You guys aren't gonna like this, but even though I, too, despise Harden...

Points are points. I don't think you can overlook a player in the MVP voting just because he shoots a lot of free throws. :chuckle: Hell, if Lebron could get to the line at that rate and make more of his free throws, I'd be thrilled.

I really think you gotta give it to Curry or Harden at this point. Lebron has missed 12 games already, which hurts him, and both Golden State and Houston have more wins than us. In the case of GS, they already have 54 wins, and Houston has 46 despite Harden being their only above average player (haven't dropped off at all in the absence of Dwight).

As long as Lebron gets the Finals MVP and wins us a title, I couldn't care less about him winning the season MVP.

Harden is probably my least favorite player in the NBA. He's a dick in person, Morey-ball is a snoozer, and his first offensive option every time is to try and get FTs.
Yup. He's s bitch

Russel Westbrook. He has with all the moves and injuries with the crap roster they had kept them in the hunt. He is pulling a Jason Kidd like triple double run and giving it everything he has. If they get into and make it semi far into the play offs I have no idea why you would not give this kid the MVP, Oh yeah he has Waiters and seemed to show the kid, This is how you do it. Westbrook Is my MVP this season.

Harden may be annoying but he's still my pick for MVP.

Going with Westbrook. With all the injuries plaguing the Thunder - if that team makes it to the postseason in the Western conference, it's all the proof you need to see how valuable Russell is to that team.

Close this thread, Harden locked up the MVP. Don't matter tho, still a first round exit

If Harden doesn't get win this, it's because of the media's hardon for Curry.

Also I don't understand the hate on Harden, he's one of the most fundamentally sound and craftiest dudes in the league. I love his game and young guys out there should be learning some of his moves, especially his two step to the rim.

If Curry gets it, it'll be 2011 Rose vs Howard again.

Harden is clearly the front runner imo. The Curry love is getting a little out of hand. It's as if the NBA is bracing itself already for LeBron's decline so they can start pushing him as the face of the league. It's going to be sad day when LeBron isn't the face anymore. Guys like Harden, Curry, Davis, etc just aren't interesting or charismatic. No matter what your opinion of LeBron, he is always going to be interesting. The rest of the guys are a bunch of uncharismatic turds. Durant, Curry, Harden, etc. Absolute snooze fest. Maybe Westbrook can be that guy if his body doesn't break down. But I don't see LeBron going away for awhile.

You mean two step into the defender? He doesn't try to get to the rim. He only tries to draw contact. On every friggin opportunity he can. If the NBA hadn't made Wade a superstar doing the same shit, Harden wouldn't be getting his.

The NBA, where you can be a star SG if you can throw yourself into people 30 times a game.

Here is the thing about Howard in 2011. If they gave him the MVP that year, than LeBron should have got a few more from 06-08. He had less talent on his teams than even Dwight, and still got back to back 50 win seasons. I don't think Rose was the true MVP, but Howard's case holds no water with Kobe, LeBron, etc not getting it in the past playing with lesser talent.

I have a hard time giving the award to Harden, when he's clearly no where near as good as Curry, Westbrook, and LeBron.

I know, I know, it's about most "valuable" but I just have to laugh thinking he's move valuable than those three.

I wouldn't even want him on my team over Klay Thompson.

I think James Harden is a really good player, not a great one.

He'll be one and done in the playoffs, and everyone is going to wonder why the hell we voted for this guy.

I can see Harden winning the MVP then doing a dirty play in the playoffs in game 6 when they're losing 3-2.
