Post Draft advice-Fantasy Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hey guys looking for some strategy advice. I'm in a 10 team league and have the 8th pick in the draft. I'm assuming that by my pick the top 4 running backs are going to be gone. Do i take the best wr? Like brown Dez obj etc. I do i take the top rb on the board? I'm thinking about doing wr gronk in the 2nd and rb in the 3rd. Is it to.high to take gronk? Or instead of gronk do I take luck or Rogers of they are available?

PPR or standard? .5 or 1 ppr if ppr?

Dez and Gronk would be a great start in standard. I'd load up on RBs after that.

Yeah, it's tough. It all depends how much the 9th/10th guy likes Gronk. I can see in a lot of leagues Gronk will be taken by the 9th/10th.

I am strictly a RB early type guy, treated me well in the past 5 years. I would even think of taking Hill there, if he falls to 8th. It looks like now he is taking over Foster's spot in the draft. You can still get 2 capable RB's in the 3rd/4th, so if you feel like taking 2 star WR's, it wouldn't hurt.

My dilemma-

I got 1st pick in the draft this year. I HATE it. Yes, you are going to get a stud player, but which one?! That is why I LOVE picking 3-4, b/c the player just falls to you. Now I am sifting through 3 guys. AP, Lacy & Charles. I am staying away from Bell b/c if you go down 0-2 in the season, it is such a hard time climbing back up to a playoff spot. Your team has to play really good ball the whole way. Can't have too many slip ups.

AP - Healthy (even though coming back from an injury in TC), determined, run-heavy offense. Improved offensive line. But off for a year. 30y old. Rusty? Haven't taken a huge bulk of heavy hits from massive NFL guys for over a year. Teams will stack the box.

Charles - Explosive. Quick. Catch & run back. KC will probably involve Davis more. He dropped off a lot last year. Older. Can KC finally throw to relieve Charles?

Lacy - Young. Entering prime of career. Workhorse. 3 down back. Power & quick. GB runs through Rodgers/passing. Rodgers loves passing. Passing loves GB. Too many weapons?

My guy is Lacy. I have said for months if I landed top 3 pick I would be pray he fell or I can land him. Now with all these "fantasy gurus" praising AP, it is killing me. And I have a bad feeling Charles is gonna have one final bounce back beast of a season.

Who would you pick? Unless something happens during preseason to reallllly sway me in a different direction, I am feeling Lacy.

I'm taking Charles if I'm in the 1 spot.*

*Unless it 1ppr, then I'm taking A. Brown

You know what I mean you pencil dick :chuckle:

-250yds rushing
-3 TD's rushing
-400 receiving yards
-2 receiving TD's

He can still avg. 5.0ypc, but teams know KC can't throw. They are gonna stack him. Can Maclin change that? I doubt it.

I am not saying he isn't an explosive player, but I believe teams are going to force KC to throw. And just contain Charles.

How has that changed from last year though? I'm not trying to be difficult, I just think Charles is a safe pick this year.

Charles #1 in standard.

Brown #1 in PPR.

But it's not crazy to take AP or Lacy there either.

Not saying it isn't a safe pick, that is why I am having a difficult time deciding. But right now, if I had to choose, I would think Lacy will have a better year/safest.

His numbers dropped last year, per my previous post. It would concern anyone.

But I agree, he's a safe pick. Just a hard time deciding who may have the better season.

Charles #1 in standard.

Why?

Anybody going to post some sleepers, hidden gems, and consistent players to take early. Oh and what about some fall off players? Their's always those.

Think I'd back away from taking RBs early this year, Shady screwed my money last year. I'm going to go with sure TDs catchers this year, at least for the 1st 2 rounds.

Well, you could probably cross Kelvin Benjamin off lists as a 2nd-3rd round WR. He was carted off the field at practice today with an apparent serious leg injury.

I pay $ for Sirius Radio, mainly for Howard Stern, but I think I'll look for some fantasy shows. I hear a pornstar hosts one in particular, true? Pretty crazy taking advice from a pornstar!

The Fantasy Sports on Sirius XM is pretty solid. Profootball Focus has a fantasy show on their now, Fantistics is another decent one. MJD had a show. I haven't listened to the Lisa Ann show but I've heard her on some other shows and she isn't an idiot when it comes to FFB.
